At times I see people here getting upset when we state that we don't want to see anything about buying/selling. It seems that some people don't really understand WHY we have that very important rule and what the consequences will be when we don't enforce it, so let me explain:

When we start talking on the DMT-Nexus about buying/selling/procuring of any illegal substance we will attract the attention of law enforcement. Law enforcement, by law, is duty-bound to follow that law and use any means possible to stop us performing said activities. By 'any means' you can think about the following: analyzing connections to the DMT-Nexus server, pulling down the webserver that hosts the DMT-Nexus, analyzing the data on the pulled down server, arrest and prosecute me to the full extend of the law (this since I'm providing means for drug-trading if we actively allow talk about buying/selling).

If I get arrested and put to jail then that will mean the very end of the DMT-Nexus!

So because of this you can bet that I and the moderators will do ANYTHING to stop people from talking about buying/selling. There are no gray lines here and anything even hinting of buying/selling will be stopped as soon as we see it, including the suspension of the person who is endangering the DMT-Nexus!

So please people, understand that we don't have these rules to annoy you, we have these rules to make sure we will stay and keep helping you with providing a platform to discuss DMT and other entheogens.

I once was part of a forum.
One day, it went offline....pooff...

What happened ?

Even though selling was FORBIDDEN, something, someone still triggered some alarm bells and their servers hd got confiscated.

No grey zone whatsoever, everything else would mean to exploit the nexus.

it's sad you had to explain this policy. seems pretty common sense.

Some people are just plain stupid and need things that are obvious to most, explained.

i agree, don't put others at risk for yourself. this forum is for knowledge and understanding only, not to traffic DRUGS .
Even if the drug is already inside of us all , its still a drug in the eyes of the law.

i agree this should be commin sense...respect the info...never risk causing harm to the knowlege are another

I must add that there are many other reasons besides the ones stated in this topic, why one should never sell DMT.
Respect is one of them.



What is the problem with that if they are legal??

That problem is the following:

Due to the content of the discussions on this site, we highly discourage the sharing of real life information. If law enforcement picks up real life addresses via this site then that can have severe consequences; we might get a subpoena to surrender all the information about that person that we have (posts and PM's). If such a thing happens then that will give the DMT-Nexus a stigma that we are helping law-enforcement, something that can effectively be the death of a forum since none will trust us anymore.

So for all people who like to share legal good, I advice them to go to Share The Seeds to trade their goods at that place. If you signup to that forum make sure you do NOT use the same nick as on the DMT-Nexus, this to not connect your real life address to your nick on the DMT-Nexus!

This is a shame we have to give up such matters simply because of some messed up politicians who know only their own wallets.

The thing is, we need to spread more awareness and knowledge about entheogens. By spreading this knowledge there will be more and more people who know about entheogens and they will hopefully understand that they are in fact a tool, and neither good nor bad.

If this mass of people, that has a better understanding of entheogens, is big enough then politicians will shift their attention to a milder approach towards entheogens, and hopefully even to the end of the prohibition of entheogens.

For this we need to have a solid and active site that will not be pulled down by law-enforcement or harmed in any other way. We also need to have a site that shows to the outside world, that entheogens users are actually nice people with who you can have a healthy debate.

So there you go, another good reason to think ahead.

Can't you make this a stickied? -EDIT- Most people stick over the stickies.

A sticky also wouldn't pop up on the active thread list, whereas bumping this puts it right back in everyone's visual field (or everyone who uses the active topics function).
