If addiction is a choice, then it´s relevant to know whether the capabilities that contribute to our ability to make choices (the ability to delay pleasure, for self-criticism, dealing with unpleasant things, etc) have fully develloped within the mind that makes this choice.

I think these ability´s are like a muscle in the sense that not using them leads to some kind of mental atrofation.

Any person that get´s spoiled enough, will become addicted to something at some point in time i think.

We are provided with more than we´ll ever need. Look at the availability of food. Obesity is a true pandemic. When suply increases, like in china, india, brazil, indonesia...more people become obese.

Live plants. Sustainable, ethically sourced, native American owned.

If you'll allow me to steer the conversation away from the neurological and towards the philosophical, I'd argue that the root of addiction is desire. This is a central element of Buddhism. I do my best to avoid speaking in absolutes so I won't claim Buddhism has it all figured out, but in terms of what causes the majority of humanity's problems, it all boils down to desire. In a sense, you've already admitted to this yourself:

The problem happens when ive been sober for a month or two, i get bored with life and find excuses to start smoking again.

I know the feeling well. A nice meal would be good, but a nice meal high would be even better. A movie would be nice, but a movie while high would be even better. This is all desire. I won't claim to know the answer on how to solve this urge (the Eight Fold Path offers some solutions but it doesn't hold for everyone). Still, I strongly believe in letting go of want, letting go of the need for more. This gets at the root of the problem. Accept life as it comes to you. This is the start of letting go.

So i did what i said and smoked on New years eve, actually i started on x-mas eve cause me and my girld dropped some shivas and felt we needed to try to sleep somewhat early.

That time i smoked some very smooth brick weed with a small pinch of mapacho, it was a really deep and powerful combination, the spirit of mary jane really spoke to me clearer than ever before.

It was like i got a feeling of exactly how often i could/should smoke without ruining it for me.

On new years eve though i smoked some fine marrocan hash with normal tobacco in spliff which is by far my favorite way to ingest cannabis.

Sure a dank bud can be really nice but there is just something very special for me to make a joint with half a gram of nice pollem and half a roasted marlboro light that nothing can touch.

i did smoke alot that night and the day after, then i held up untill last weekend where i smoked from thursday to sunday meh.

Once it was monday i felt it was time to pull the brake again before it get´s out of hand.

I think i will keep up at least one month before trying to smoke again.

It´s to bad with the tobacco since smoking hash without it is not the same thing at all, i have some cannabis leaves i can mix with mapacho for strong weed but i doubt i can get the taste i wan´t with hash without marlboros Sad
