SWIM is having a little trouble breaking through with J.spice. Procedure followed was an A/B extraction using citric acid (no defatting), added lye /w xylene pull(x5), fasa was added promptly, and watched the xtals precipitate immediately(Amazing :shock . The rundown. My worries is that too much sodium carbonate was added, which couldn't be the problem(?) SWIM was surprised that the solution dried to a rock hard consistency. Washed with acetone3x, let the last wash evaporate overnight and tried a morning dose in his churchwarden. Nothing really dissolving with profound sensations. music just played on, shpongle being profound as thems elves. SWIM is considering washing with naphtha but would rather not. does this powdery yield seem right from a 40g pull? http://img508.imageshack...?image=1217081420wn6.jpgIn the end we will conserve only what we love. Was that extracted from MHRB? Nanaki, of course is a fictional video game character. He never does drugs that would alter consciousness. He only thinks he does.

Yes, but the freebased material is a very "rocky" powder (If that is how its supposed to come out ) Usually when loading DMT crystals they fall through and SWIM just lights up the base seeing a very thin layer of smoke channel through the stem. With the J.Spice, there is a melting residue, but no smoke. It must be the pipe, but SWIM does have a vaporgenie on wait so will give that a try once it comes in. Thinking, could An oral dose of freebased/Harmine alkaloids be used in inhibition? In the end we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. This is too much for a yield! Basically, the FASA precipitates (= the fumarate salts) are dried, then they are freebased with the sodium carbonate paste. When the sodium carbonate/fumarates/water paste dries, it is then washed with acetone. NOW, the acetone is kept (it has all the freebase alkaloids) and left to evaporate to give you the freebases). The residue that DOES NOT dissolve in acetone is sodium carbonate, and sodium fumarate. Please tell me that SWIY did not throw away the acetone and kept the washed out solids... The thing in the picture does not look like spice at all... Need to calculate between salts and freebases? Click here! Need to calculate freebase or salt percentage at a given pH? Click here!

just to confirm - you can never add too much sodium carbonate right ? i was thinking even if u add way too much the naptha just wont pick it up. is this correct ? antrocles wrote:...purity of intent....purity of execution....purity of experience...

"too much" sodium carbonate" is no bad, but in relation to what? For the paste thing (sodium carbonate/fumarates/water) then dry and pull the freebases with acetone too much sodium carbonate is not a problem. But if one pulls from the dry paste with naphtha or xylene, it is very likely that sodium carbonate pieces will float on and will make a mess. For an A/B thing (where one will have to pull with xylene or naphtha) too much sodium carbonate can also be a problem. At certain point it will not dissolve and it will create a mess . Pieces of sodium carbonate may also get to float in the xylene or naphtha. Need to calculate between salts and freebases? Click here! Need to calculate freebase or salt percentage at a given pH? yeah i was referring to converting fumarate salts to freebases so that answers my question - i can add as much sodium carbonate as i want (50/50 spice/carbonate should be fine right - this is by mass not weight) and pull with acetone and all that will be left on the plate is the excess sodium carbonate, the acetone is evapped and leaves behind a freebase mixture. right ? antrocles wrote:...purity of intent....purity of execution....purity of experience...

The salts were weighed out about 450mg, but careless SWIM supposes, much of the sodium carbonate was really just "dumped" into the dish. After the paste was dried and cut, SWIM left the acetone to evaporate3x(Say 75ml in total) leaving a white residue on the dish with a shaggy layering. The salt form cannot pass through membranes easily; it's too polar. the freebase passes straight on through to ones lungs, then heart, then to his brain. and boom goes the dynamite.
SWIM might have made that all up.
