I live here in the USA and to be honest, it sucks. Now I don't know for sure that it sucks, because I've never been anywhere else. I get the feeling that when I move to another country it will be reminiscent of my switch from IE to chrome, I didn't know things could be so much better and different.

So my main problem with this place right now is that I've been trying to get a job, and EVERYWHERE I look asks for a urinary analysis for drugs. I'm sick of this, I want to be able to smoke and ingest whatever I want and still be able to get a job and provide for myself. What's wrong with that? What's so bad about smoking weed?

So now I am asking for suggestions on where to move to. I only speak english, though I really want to change that. I want to live in a country where there is no "War on Drugs."

It'd be very interesting to know this actually. Is there a list somewhere of tolerant countries? Then again, some countries are more tolerant than others without having a wholly legalised stance.

IME, a chill part of the US is usually more chill about it than the average non-chill part of a different country... up in western Washington we used to get nugs in the tip jar at work, at another job my boss would make brownies in back.

Of course, if you're feeling adventurous you could just move to BC like fractal and minxx. I wouldn't mind doing that...

Westernmost province in Canada. Also lets stop saying where people live on a forum where the entire activity it is entered around is illegal.

I don't mean its legal here or even decriminalised, but the chances of actually getting jail time or even a fine are slim to none.
I once got caught with over 5 ounces and they just took it all and left me on the side of the road, they didn't even take down my details, just said "you do know this is illegal right?"

as for drug testing, I only know one guy who had to do it and thats because he worked with opiate withdrawl medication, and they obviously didn't want any addicts working there.

I think the reason for the lack of drug testing is probably due to the fact that so many people smoke it here Smile

There's a reason Oakland is called Oaksterdamn. Northern and Southern California are both pretty lenient when it comes to pot. Possession of under one ounce is a $25 fine, no record. If you have a marijuana recommendation letter from a doctor (not difficult) you can have much more and you can legally grow. In SF, Berkeley, Oakland, Santa Cruz, Santa Monica, Venice and LA there are tons of dispensaries. Most have a wide range of herbs, edibles (including ice cream!), tinctures, trimmings, and hash. Some even have free massages and munchies laid out for patients. And if none of that appeals to you, there are also plenty of home delivery services!

Czech Republic.

Wiki quote:
"On December 14, 2009, the Czech Republic adopted a new law that took effect on January 1, 2010, and allows a person to possess up to 15 grams of marijuana or 1.5 grams of heroin without facing criminal charges. These amounts are higher (often many times) than in any other European country, possibly making the Czech Republic the most liberal country in the European Union when it comes to drug liberalization."

Possession of all the drugs decriminalized at small amount. In this law they just set those amount for each known street drug. Law was quite liberal before 2010.

In 90's, Prague was called 'Amsterdam of the East'. After communism collapsed in 1989, there was no legislation for drugs ready. Drugs were everywhere you looked. Half-legal coffee shops, registered pervitin addicts could posses drug no problem, lots of heroin coming from Balkan wars.

Drug scene is much better now there though. People prefer gunja over hard drugs and smack was pushed out of streets by cheaper prescription subutex.90's were crazyVery happy

Certain areas of spain are really really liberal, specifically BCN... Balconies with weed plants are not an uncommon sight around the city.

Personal amounts in general in spain is decriminalized, though you can still get fined. Also the definition of 'personal amounts' is contextual. But in bcn unless you are doing it in the main tourist streets, chances are nobody will ever mind, and even if one is caught, its still very possible to just talk the way out of it.

if a federal agent cared even a little (or just a bored cracker/script kiddie) they could get your ip address which would show not only the country/state you live in, but which house you live in.
unless of course you proxy, but even then, most web-based proxies *cough*hidemyass*cough* don't really do much (redirect ip through another server, hence another ip, but tracing the real ip through this is so retardedly easy it hurts).could you imagine the manpower it would take to track down everyone who says they have preformed illegal activities online? too much work for lazy government workers who probably don't even care in all honesty.

tl;dr if anyone wanted to, they could already find out where you live, so saying it on this forum won't be your downfall

just kidding i am FBI, you are all fucked for saying what country you live in. you dun goofed, the cyber-police are back-tracing you as we speak!!
