I basically would like to know if anyone else has stomach pains after smoking, and if anyone else has thrown up before while in the midst of the experience or anything of the sort. I just watched SWIM vaporize a dose, and was fine through the majority of it, but than SWIM started to regurgitate. It didn't seem to bother him much, but it couldn't have been too comfortable. Does anyone have any insight as to why this may have happened?

Thank you for any help given, and goodnight everyone. Save travels Smile

No way for me at least, and I've never heard of it before.

You might want to check the purity of your spice as for traces of lye or naphtha. To make sure there's no trapped naphtha one would might want to redissolve it in acetone. I recommend it.

And if you vaporize at too high temperature from not ideal pipe, it will be harsher for your body.

can be due to impurity as tele mentioned

but can also come from the psychological shock of the expierience. In that case dont worry, with enough courage and persistance you will find out how to deal with it.

A little bit of throwing up here and there in exchange for cosmic knowledge, why the heck not.

Nausea and vomiting is usually associated with both high and burnt doses. You may be burning it or you may be smoking too much at once. I've never actually puked from spice by itself, but I've come mighty close on some of my much bigger doses that I don't go anywhere near anymore. Also it seems that the more you load up, the more likely you are to burn it anyway. Try less, and back off a bit on the flame and you shouldn't have this problem.

Burnt spice can make me gag when I come back enough to realize the flavor.
Also, sometimes I get motion sickness while tripping.

If your nauseous, and the smoke was way to harsh, tasted wrong, now your esophagus burns, if that happens I would worry about contamination and do a re-x.
If you never get nauseous on the same stuff it's probably fine, just a bad reaction from your friend. You can still re-x it though if you think there may be contaminates.

There are some things.

Analyze and listen to the sickness. Where is it originating, and why? Ask. Drink some water and relax every muscle in your body. Sit comfortable and with good posture. Take a bite out of a piece of fruit and don't smoke DMT on a thanksgiving-full stomach. That is my advice... Sickness can occur from something diet related, energetic/emotion related, stress related, environment, many things, really. I have learned things about myself by being sick on psychedelics. Instances like this have been messages/markers along my path allowing me to find a way to balance what feels right. Also, sit with your friend mr. bucket, because if you have to purge, don't hold it in! Yes this is common, necessary, and normal.

listen to ۩ .. those are some good words .... especially the "mr bucket"... never hurts to be prepared... one ALWAYS has MR bucket, just incase....

Though personally one has choked on some burnt smoke via an "oil burner" once ... didnt quite puked but dry heaved and the like .. didnt set a good tone for the rest of the trip... so he abandoned that method

Also one used to previously use enchanced leaf.. on a lower dose he coughed while inhaling; swallowed some smoke and it felt like some smoke went into his nasal passages (not sure if thats what happened but it sure felt like it) and knew instantly he was going to puke... Thankfully the handy "mr bucket" was bed side and one was able to let it all go... he actually purged that time

Now one vaporizes his doses with a machine bubbler stem and has since to choke on any burnt nastiness...far superior to burning it in his opinion...

Anyways, if your vaping correctly and your not swallowing/choking on it, it could simply be a case of cybersickness or barfogenesis ( as explained by 69ron here ... just scroll down slightly to post 4 ) and as stated there a dose of 1000 mg ginger root should help without any adverse effects to the trip... one uses natural gravol, which is simply 500 mg of ginger root extract and it always works for him...

..╖CoffeeBlack&EggWhite╖,
my two main questions would be, what did you eat beforehand (that day), and what colour was the spice?
acacia extracts with small amounts ßcarbolines have been known to do this to a number of people..despite what some nexians say, i maintain that not only is diet important for ingestion of MAOIs, but also (to a lesser extent) for smoked tryptamines (especially with alkaloids other than dmt)
..smoking an MAOI can lead to gut inhibition, and all tryptamines (incl. DMT) are mild MAOIs when smoked in bigger doses..tobacco and cannabis are also mild MAOIs, and can compound effects..i ask what color the spice was, as red, brown or yellow could indicate other alkaloids..prolonged heating can generate other alakloids during pyrolysis..
am currently re-researching to what extent gut effects can be produced by smoking of inhibitors..

..also, state of mind itself can lead to nausea and sickness...

I don't smoke inhibitors, so I don't know if my information will be of value to you, but I can tell you what happens when I swallow gel caps of crushed up rue and then smoke DMT (with or without orally ingesting any DMT). Whenever I take rue, I'll wait for the effects to start to kick in so I know everything's a go. Especially depending on whether I've ingested any DMT or not, I may or may not be pretty nauseous already (though the rue can definitely make me nauseous on its own), so I'll usually try to purge before smoking. It almost seems that regardless of whether or not I purge, even if I purge thoroughly beforehand, immediately after smoking the DMT I am welled up with unprecedented nausea. If I was having trouble forcing myself with all my might to purge before, I have little doubt that right after taking my hits, I'll be so nauseous that avoiding puking is somewhat comparable to not disintegrating from an atomic bomb...it's gonna happen. Anyway, this only seems to happen on the first round though. After I come down when I want to go back up again and smoke some more, there is usually no trace of nausea.
