A thought provoking read.Stop

The Population Debate

"By selectively preserving the mystics among our hominid ancestors
evolution not only gave us the weapon that would catapult
us from obsolescence to world domination, it also took out a
shrewd insurance against our species’ overwhelming reproductive
success.*
Only such a deliciously rewarding and tamper-proof device as
mysticism could have prevented us from foreseeing the danger
of overpopulation a long, long time ago. And the corrosive mental
derangements born of religious and political mystical beliefs
will easily derail our global efforts to cooperate and survive our
population peak—just as they did on Easter Island more than three
centuries ago."

I really dont think this problem even takes this much analysis. Ever since global warming has slowed down in the media, the more recent experiments all show we underestimated the problem and that basically without immediate action we are going to have terrible climate conditions for large populations. Also just open your eyes and look at the forms of technology weve developed, i.e. we could have headed in many directions but our technologies produce wastelands.

Better luck next time, humanity.

trolololo
i feel like we aren't overpopulated so much as just poorly spread, i mean we have acres of land in places like nebraska, yet tokyo barely has a free 100 sqft.
so i look at it more as a problem of congregating in large groups in small areas, rather than having too many of us to fit.
because earth is a pretty fucking big rock, and a lot of it is mostly deserted (as far as humans go)

^EXACTLY^
We are each of us angels with only one wing, and we can only fly by embracing one another.

We are all living in our own feces.

That little article with the Indian Chief is brilliant.

"The Mighty One appears, the horizon shines. Atum appears on the smell of his censing, the Sunshine- god has risen in the sky, the Mansion of the pyramidion is in joy and all its inmates are assembled, a voice calls out within the shrine, shouting reverberates around the Netherworld." - Egyptian Book of the Dead

The earth is alive..and I dont mean that metaphorically. I speak with the planet all the time and we aint got nothing on her. People will either get they're shit together and live within this system or be annialated by it. Everything works this way. Look at the diseases we have..cancer, diabetes, heart disease etc..in mass becasue we humans as a collective still cant figure out that there has been a system in place LONG LONG before any of us were here..people defy that system and they die becasue of it. Pump the body full of foreign toxins and watch it go to shit..the body is nothing more than a small extension within the larger over-mind of the planet. What does the body do when a virus invades? Fever. It is an accepted belief among scientists that the environment is self regulating..not so different from us.

I dont fear so much for earth..she can hold her own..I fear for humans though...or at least some humans. Those who dont get it will die anyway IMO. Disease and genetic damage will take care of that. I agree with Johnothan Ott here. He has talked about it before in an interview, how he always knew on some level that a large portion of the human race was destined to be killed off due to they're own ignorance. Humanity will continue I have faith in that..but it will be the genes of the few that remember how to live on planet earth that will be the ancestors of the future humans..and we as a race will be better off becasue of it. Survival of the fittest. Cant beat evolution..someone always gets the dawrin award.

I know that sounds depressing at first glance..but I dont think of it that way. It is just the way things progress. Not necessarily good, or bad..it just is.
Long live the unwoke.

I find it ironic that the very mysticism and dogma that got humanity through the long dark nights in the wilderness; will ultimately prove to be our own undoing.

Yin and Yang I guess.Sad
