Hey everyone My friend made a San pedro extraction and everyting seemed to be fine until his 3rd pull. He had to interrupt the process and had to leave a little bit ( of dlimonene about 10 small bubbles) in his vinegar overnight. The day after the dlimonene bubbles were gone but the vinegar was left with a strong dlimonene smell. Should he just evap it that way and use it like that safely or he'd be better to clean it? He doesnt have access to MEK. What method would be recommended in that case?
Thanks

Here's a cool tip for these kinds of extractions:
Take your vinegar solution and put it in something long and narrow, a test tube is absolutely ideal. Get an eye dropper and suck off all the limonene that rests on the top. After this you can evaporate and it will be good to go.

Thanks for the tip ![Smile](/forum/images/emoticons/smile.png) That is exactly what my friend tried today. Even after leaving it still for an half hour no dlimo got to the top. His tube was a glass tube with a diameter of 5/8".

That's odd. Is it stuck to the sides of the glass tube or something?
Hm...

There was a "greasy" residue my friend felt on the sides of the pyrex when we washed it. ( after transfering vinegar in the tube )
Could it have evaporated?

Limonene doesn't exactly evaporate. Make sure it is completely off any vessel you use for transferring and holding the vinegar.
