Its a sign of the times. Its BS that our government is gonna go down kicking and screaming.

Legalization may take another 10 years, but it will happen.

Amen! Great to hear someone speak the truth. Refreshing.
"But even if nothing lasts and everything is lost, there is still the intrinsic value of the moment. The present moment, ultimately, is more than enough, a gift of grace and unfathomable value, which our friend and lover death paints in stark relief."

Wow.... that is absolutely wonderful. It is about time.

That was great. I felt a mounting sense of empowerment throughout the video Laughing Twisted Evil

I like Lawrence sometimes, though he is not as powerful (IMHO) as Keith Olbermann or Rachel Maddow, he does get some good info out there. What he failed to mention was that there is currently a Bill that was put forth by Reps. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) and Ron Paul (R-Texas) H.R. 2306, would repeal federal penalties for production, distribution, and possession of the drug, leaving the states free to address the issue as they see fit. Anyone living in the US should pressure their representatives to pledge a YES vote and even to co-sponsor this bill - H.R. 2306. This bill - H.R. 2306 - has been introduced and is referred to committee. It currently needs the support of every elected official available if it is to have any chance to be brought up for a House vote and then a Senate vote. I urge anyone living in the US, or who has friends in the US to support this bill and to pressure their elected officials to support this bill - H.R. 2306.
Let us declare nature to be legitimate. All plants should be declared legal, and all animals for that matter. The notion of illegal plants and animals is obnoxious and ridiculous.

All my posts are hypothetical and for educational/entertainment purposes, and are not an endorsement of said activities. SWIM (a fictional character based on other people) either obtained a license for said activity, did said activity where it is legal to do so, or as in most cases the activity is completely fictional.

This shows, more than anything, that the US senate(and congress in general) are out of touch with the US population. The fact that 0% support it really shocked me, I thought there would be at least one senator who would support legalization.
The fact is, these politicians keep it illegal for one reason, the US population wouldn't vote for them unless they took a hard anti-drug stance to "protect the children," thanks a lot Nancy Reagan.
The problem now is, more people are for legalization, it won't be long before senators will be shunned by voters for supporting authoritarian drug laws.
