In theory if one had several grams of mescaline acetate as derived from the food safe limo tek, how would one go about cleaning and re-crystallizing it or cleaning and converting to hcl and then re-crystallizing, if in theory the original yield was a nice amber crystal, no too waxy and very translucent(bio essayed at 150mg with slight threshold effects, in theory)


So goal is to get info on:

cleaning impure acetate to get pure crystals

converting to hcl for clean crystals

what would be best for potency? hcl

what strength of hcl solution, and what per gram?

would you need dry acetone or would normal acetone work??

In the case of mescaline acetate, you're going to want to wash roughly 1000mg of the sticky goo in 20-25mL anhydrous, icecold MEK - (in a shotglass?)

Smash the goo'ey acetate in the MEK until it forms a powder. Wait for all of the mescaline to settle and decent the MEK. Repeat 2, or more times if necessary.




OPTIONAL: Dissolve purified mescaline acetate in minimal distilled water (25mL), decant. Repeat if any solids are present, decant (if any solids remain, dispose of). Evaporate water to yield pure, crystalline mescaline (flat surface for scraping, day or 2).

No need to convert to HCl, acetate will purify.

you may want to use hcl instead of acetate so you don't have to source or use mek.

rule of thumb: 0.5 ml 33% hcl salts a g of m.

you dont need to be exact because the excess evaps. In fact it's a good idea to use maybe 2x the calculated amount in this case.

I don't recall seeing a report of anyone actually doing this so its a good idea to keep all your washes etc in case something goes wrong. You can always evap and recover.

ps the wash acetone needs to be dry.

pps whats wrong with crude extract? extreme cleaning is not necessary typically.

ppps has anyone tried dissolving acetates in minimal hot mek and freezing to crash nice nuggets?
