These are the bowls I use when I imbibe (only a few times a year). I spent a couple of years trying to find the perfect bowls and ran across these in Guadeloupe. They are made from mango tree wood by local artisans, and the patterns on each I found particularly appropriate: the wavy decorated one I use for Caapi (it reminded me both of the vine and of the visions it induces), and the one with repeating DNA like strands and lines (the more complex of the 2 designs) I use for the light, as the pattern and the relative complexity seemed appropriate for a DMT containing brew. Anyone else have special bowls? (btw, by ceremonial I don't mean to infer that I partake in organized aya ceremonies... My lil ceremonies are personal and solitary.) Cheers, JBArk jbark attached the following image(s): aya bowls (1 of 3).jpg (413kb) downloaded 308 time(s). aya bowls (2 of 3).jpg (333kb) downloaded 307 time(s). aya bowls (3 of 3).jpg (345kb) downloaded 307 time(s).JBArk is a Mandelthought; a non-fiction character in a drama of his own design he calls "LIFE" who partakes in consciousness expanding activities and substances; he should in no way be confused with SWIM, who is an eminently data-mineable and prolific character who has somehow convinced himself the target he wears on his forehead is actually a shield.

Lovely bowls Jbark. Here is my bowl made on a potters wheel by myself. It has a volume of 100ml. The bottle I found out in the bush and scrounged up a lid to fit. Its an old lemon cordial bottle and holds 700ml. If I'm planning on a group ceremony I just brew each dose at 100ml, fill the bowl and share around. I have only shared a couple of time and not in a while now so the bottle has been sitting on my shelf. The bowl still hold a strong brew though. rahlii attached the following image(s): bottle.jpg (998kb) downloaded 264 time(s).From where is the noise?

That's great rahlii!! Nothing beats a thing made with one's own hands! What does is contained in the 100ml? is your vine mixed in with the light? I usually stagger the caapi and chacruna by at least 20 minutes. Any one else? Yeah I mix them together. I've got a heap of chacruna in the garden so just add 75-85 leaves per dose. I've never worked with them seperate. I might have to look into it next brew. Is it much stronger? From where is the noise?

they look as though you can feel their energy just holding them. Thank you for the kind words! I always dose alone, so I need to invent my own rituals to get in the right frame of mind. Love the bowls, but the countertop is pretty cool too! I just bought a set of mini cups at a community art co-op recently. they really jumped off the shelf screaming AYAHUASCAAA! As Within, So Without.

I think I may have to stop at a thrift store or two to search for something similar myself PS

Take pics and post your mini-cups! And yeah, I kinda like the "coffee" table too (not a counter). It is made of stone (slate) and weighs a ton! My kitchen table matches and weighs over 300 lbs - a good incentive not to move! Here are my mini cups. I guess maybe they are supposed to be expresso cups. Agave attached the following image(s): cups 012.jpg (3,430kb) downloaded 177 time(s).As Within, So Without.

Here are mine, I made them while ago, inspired by traditional Japaneses tea ceremonies. I'm not the best artist but I still love them =) "If the flesh came into being because of spirit, that is a marvel, but if spirit came into being because of the body, that is a marvel of marvels. Those look great Antiego! Only one thing better than acquiring fine craftsmanship, and that is learning it! And Agave, those mugs look familiar - I think my parents had a set when I was younger. I think the key is to use something that has personal significance to you. cheers, JBArk JBArk is a Mandelthought; a non-fiction character in a drama of his own design he calls "LIFE" who partakes in consciousness expanding activities and substances; he should in no way be confused with SWIM, who is an eminently data-mineable and prolific character who has somehow convinced himself the target he wears on his forehead is actually a shield.

@jbark Thanks, I like them, I carved the design into a plastic and then pressed the clay on-top to imprint the design. I do like your bowls, they are very unique. It's nice to have a ceremonial set, that way one can share the experience with a close friend or two.
