Hey I'm 18 and have a lot of stress from various things going on in my life. I am very interested in DMT and want to see what it has to offer. I need suggestions... like when and where to do it? Should it be with a close friend? Should he/she be sober? What should I expect and what precautions should I take before smoking it? Please, any comments or concerns would be appreciated.

Im sorry dude but I just banned your other account for claiming you were 16 in the chat..and you had nearly the same name! lol 10 points deducted for lack of creativity!Very happy ..Seriousily though it's cool and all that you are interested in DMT and psychedelics but there is a strict rule here that there are no members allowed that are under the age of 18, for obvious reasons that I am sure you can imagine. Sorry bud..you are welcome for sure to come back to us when you are 18 Smile
Long live the unwoke.

lil bro....

In all my heart, I think you should wait. I think you should wait a while even longer than your 18th birthday.

Get a feel for our world. I know how this sounds, but I'll say it anyway.

Your life right now deserves your full attention. Right now, at your age... your brain is laying the ground work infrastructure for the rest of your life. I wouldn't even smoke pot that young if I could go back and change it.

So many doors are open to you now, that will need to be pried open later. Take advantage of the opportunity. DMT and everything else will be here waiting, I promise.

Hey man. Just figure I'll throw in my two cents on this. When it comes to DMT, it's a well known fact that set/setting is EVERYTHING. Set/setting has a STRONG influence on the experience! I think that you/your friends should most certainly be sober before taking DMT. In my opinion, any outside influence dulls the experience. And as for when/where you should do it; I strongly recommend an outdoor setting. And do it when you're feeling GOOD. In a generally good mood. This practically sets yourself up for a great experience!

EDIT: Darn, that's why I don't leave the reply window open for two hours before finishing my response... -.-

EDIT: Whoops. I guess I might as well delete the other stuff I said considering this person is under the age of 18. Sorry about that. Left my reply window open for about an hour before coming back and realizing it.

Take this time to learn all you can about DMT and have a method and technique down, your first time should be amazing, take these two years to ensure that it is so.

i agree with this 200%. you may not realize it, but your mind is still fragile, and a lot of the infrastructure still needs to be established. better safe than sorry. please take these advices seriously

Agreeing with everyone so far, I really recommend that you wait until your early 20s. The amount of change that you go through in these short years is drastic and in my opinion, should be free of influence.

Yes wait a few years, there is no reason to just jump right into it, Spice will always be here for you, and when its comes your time you will experience it.

Go to school and learn everything you can!! because when as soon as you get out of school you are gonna wanna go back. Enjoy your life and its mysteries while you are youngSmile

Quick tip, if you have to state that “I'm over 18” in the post title, then it is pretty obvious that you are not. That is one of life's lessons. Which brings me to my next point. Before finding another reality, try to work with the one that you are in first. As a father myself, I'm never going to lecture my offspring on drugs and tell them not to do it. Rather I will impress upon them the need to understand all risks, benefits and pitfalls before trying anything.

It is encouraging that you posted some adult questions and are seeking guidance. So far the guidance is; wait for a while, get older, and then come back to it. Spice will still be here.

The brain doesn't stop developing until the early 20s, you are still making those connections between neurons, there is plenty of peer reviewed evidence that messing with this development is not a great idea.

What’s the rush?
I like to make things up, everything above is made up and not real, it is a story for my own amusement. Sorry if you felt mislead.

I normally have to edit my posts within a couple of minutes for prose, spelling and grammar. Just to let you know.

..ha haSmile funny read..
I agree with all here that it would be good to wait, though I note that I experimented with LSD prior to 18 years of age, but on reflection can see I was not aware of set and setting then..early '20s would be better to start with DMT..
plus, why do you want to try it now..that's an important question to ask yourself, and to me, simply because you haven't isn't a good reason..
..as an old bastard, though, part of me that vaguely recalls being a teenager is wondering how I would have taken all this being said to me at the time? hmm..? I recall I did respect a few 'elders' of psychedelics advice, and learned value of preparation for which I am grateful..

If you're still feeling stubborn, 'lil bro', remember what you 're talking about is potentially blowing apart your whole conception of reality permanently..are you really ready? is there really a reason to right now where you're at? there's a lot of things to check out first...

It took me maybe a decade and a half to find spice and it came at just the right time for me (I was 30 and had just gone through an extreme life change and needed to look deep inside myself). I was playing with other psychedelics from 14, cannabis from 11 [heavily from 13] and went quite a way down the rabbit hole but none of what I experienced even starts to come close to how far spice has taken me. I’m pretty sure that had I not had a long period of waiting and done it at the age I did I wouldn’t have gained as much from it as I have and would have a hard time integrating any of it.

I waited until age 41 (though not 100% by choice - it was hard for me to find . . . ) and in hindsight that was a very good choice. Physical development completed long ago, and half a life lived. Loss of all grandparents and loss of one parent. Loss of ability to create a life myself. And other stuff that just stacks up as the decades do. I was at a good, meditative, though crisis point in my development and DMT as a spiritual tool and insight catalyst was very helpful.

It IS worth waiting for. There's a lot of hype around DMT and there's a reason for this. It's special. Like sex, you could go in there and really make a big sloppy mess of it the first time around. And somehow in that process, literally make it a bit awkward every time thereafter. Or, you could defer until just the right person, time, circumstances, etc. present themselves.

And of course, I would not be Pandora without playing Devil's Advocate. The title of this post is indeed a flag, BUT, all I see is one mod going Your Banned because you wrote 16 in chat. I'm presuming there's A LOT in that chat log I did NOT see. Because 16 and 18 are easy cross-typos to make on a keyboard. I sincerely hope some questions were asked of this young person before the ban hammer was dropped. Assumptions make neither you nor me look like a pretty body part.

I didn't try any drugs including cannabis till I was 19. "Just say no" worked up until that point somehow, and I thought that by trying drugs, I would somehow A) not feel good and B) feel guilty about it. Well I took my first hit of a joint the first day of my sophomore year in college and I felt good (despite the sensation of my lungs turned into toaster ovens) without a trace of guilt, so I just sort of dove in head first from there. Anyway, the point I'm trying to make is that I feel if I would have started doing drugs earlier, my mental capacities would be far from where they are now.

I had my first shroom experience a couple months after having my first taste of marijuana in November, and even though it was only half an eighth, as it turns out I was not ready for that experience. I had another shroom experience several months after, and I still wasn't ready, and I think it was because I had so much teenage bullshit going on that I thought was far enough in the background not to make a difference, but it hit and it hit hard. Once I was able to clean up that background bullshit and start enjoying life, psychedelics became much more enjoyable and I had developed the psychological tools by that point to handle the tricky situations better. Anyway, whenever you do get the chance to try it, I hope you're ready and wish you the best of luck.
