This is slightly different than the scenario that you present (I agree if you're gonna smoke it with weed, you might as well infuse it), but on a sort of side note, I used to always infuse my blue lotus with DMT, but the taste was just too funky, so one day after seeing a documentary that discussed the use of the blue lotus in ancient Egypt, I decided that instead of infusing it (which would have taken time anyway), I rolled a joint of plain blue lotus and loaded the GVG with DMT. I smoked the joint and then as soon as I was finished, I immediately took a rip or two from the GVG. It resulted in a very powerful experience where I was privy to Egyptian entities like those you would see on the wall of a pyramid mingling with some of the more alien, abstract entities I see from time to time. Of course I couldn't deduce if I ended up seeing the Egyptian entities because I had just watched 2 hours worth of documentaries on Egypt, or because I had smoked the blue lotus first (which according to the documentary, the Egyptians used blue lotus to attain higher states of consciousness and that it wasn't merely symbolic).
