So, obviously there are plenty or reasons, but SWIM's FOAF has a bad experience few hours ago. He decided to make some banofee, so he had to boil few cans of evaporated milk, unopened (so that they would caramelise to make his tofu).

He couldn't resist watching the cans covered in boiling water being boiled in the crockpot so he added in the water some p.viridis leaves to extract them as the tofu was prepared. The picture is p.viridis leaves boiling in water, and two cans of the unopened evaporated milk also swimming in the brew.

And WTF, the milk never caramelised and he never got his tofu even after 3 hours of boiling. On the other hand, viridis gave almost zero yield. Some things are just never meant to be done together it seems.

No strong feeling for a failed extraction, but he wants to know why the tofu did not manage to form; could it be because the water in the pot was not boiling hard?

He understands this is not a standard extraction troubleshooting but what the hell, this is the pub section.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, he loves tofu.
