Hello everyone, SWIM went ahead and did an acid/base extraction to 550 grams of torch chips and got about nine grams of Mescaline hcl. One dish came out white crystals and the other came out brown crystals because SWIM used one drop more hcl in one pull. SWIM has seen the dose chart on erowid but SWIM believes that is for pure Mescaline hcl. Dose anyone know what the proper dose for mescaline hcl before the acetone wash? SWIM tried 800mg and had a very mild trip with just closed eye visuals and then SWIM tried 1200mg with mild open eye visuals. It was still an enjoyable trip because SWIM got the clear thinking and different perspective thinking, but alas it was not a strong visual trip. Does anyone here know how many mg to take to have a strong visual trip?

OK I ended up taking 1800mg and I had amazing visuals. I saw Alex Grey art when i closed my eyes and I think I had ego death.

1.8g of mescaline is way more than i'd feel safe taking
if you weren't having the trip of a lifetime, i'm sure it was VERY impure
.8g of dirty salts once had me Very high for 18-24hrs

Thats very possible dg, but also keep in mind that mesc hard heads do exist... I dreamed 2ft of potent bridgesii (equivalent to about 1g referenced to extractions) and had very minor visuals and strong mental and body effects like the OP describes. I woke up the next day still sparkling... ostensible effect lasted around 20 hrs but those plants just dont evoke strong visuals for me even around 1g equiv.

Psych - You might be a hard head, but you should always test new material with the caution that you aren't... I'm assuming you don't want to deal with an accidental double dose situation. If you wash some of your material in dry acetone how much mass does it lose? you can test with a small amount first.

I wouldn't consider myself a hard head. I just think my mesc was maybe 30% mescaline and the rest other alkaloids.
