I was thinking about using an electric mixer to help with doing large extractions (100g-500g mimosa). I was looking into building my own with a stand as opposed to buying a lab mixer with a stand to save some cash but I'm not quiet sure how strong of an electric motor I would need. I would like to have one that is quiet so that it could be left to run for an hour or so. I have seen attachments you can get for power drills and have thought about just using a motor out of a kitchen mixer but they are both pretty loud.
I have looked into magnetic stirrers but I am unsure if they are strong enough to stir a gallon of thick mimosa water.
Does this seem like overkill or would I even notice any major increase in yields if I was to let a batch mix for an hour or more?
Any thoughts or input would be greatly appreciated.

I think that's overkill. If you're doing an a/b, stirring the simmering/boiling pot/crockpot during the acid cooks is sufficient mixing, ime.

I use the STB method. I figured it would be a little overkill. Thanks for the response.
