Yeah... saw this coming a while ago.

Fortunately, though not perfectly, the emphasis is on "processed" and "animal" products--an organic cheese doodle is still a cheese doodle and maybe limiting intake of said things is best.

Growing your own is #1 (so, uh, what about Nexus land in Peru again? ^.^;; ), but, looking at what's available, organic is often better than non-organic.

The sad thing is the contamination issue!

I saw a positive newspiece at the end of summer, though (this one is from January) talking about massive/collective suits against Monsanto. It's like David vs. Goliath... Remember, David does win. It's IMPOSSIBLE for something unsustainable to go on forever... simply for the fact that it's UNSUSTAINABLE. At one point or another, it no longer becomes a choice. Be and do as positively as possible in the meantime...

And, all the more reason to chug a big glass of harmalade and keep the 8hz vibrations strong... Twisted Evil

Since I moved to the west coast, seedy watermelon has become nonexistent. I was robbed of my holy watermelon binge this summer. Sterile foods are a bad fad. Sad

OMG, that sucks. Profoundly. Can these people actually believe that this won't affect their descendents? Pollen does not recognize property lines. Aaaaaargh!

This is more of an acknowledgement of what IS the situation regardless of what Whole Paycheck has to say.

Perhaps it will wake people up and get people to protest the evil that is Monsanto... probably not.

If anyone actually believed that WFM or other organic corporations was going to protect them from the menace of GMOs, they were living in a fantasy.

Still, extremely sad times for people in the US who are not breatharians.
"Curiouser and curiouser..." ~ Alice

"Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it." ~ Buddha

these people should just be disposed of IMO. "Thou shalt not tolerate a well poisoner"..sounds about right.

Sounds harsh but these are the people that we really would be better of without. put em all on a ship and send them away. If they cant play nice with the rest of us on planet earth, let them see how they like it in space.

here is something to think about for all the people out there who push for cannabis legalization...Imagine how monsanto would apprach that...I can imagine a world where monsanto suddenly buys and owns the cannabis genes and we end up with this "cannabis" product on the shelves that resembles something more like the toxic "tobacco" they are selling us today..suddenly I dont feel so good about legalization with the way things are going today. I can imagine them going after simple growers at home instead of large black market distributers..

With mobsters like monsanto running things grassroots movements looks alot better than the alternative..I would rather support illegal "black market" operations that fund and empower the adverage "peasant" than be forced into submission and have to support gangters that dont give a fucking shit about the the health of the next generation. Support local organic farmers as much as you can and tell all the gangster syndicates like the government and monsanto to fuck themselves. That is about all any of us can do. Learn to wildcraft and garden as much as you can and seek out real food from the markets whenever possible. Teach other people what you have learned about food, gathering wild foods, growing food and knowing how to choose what is the best for you when at the store or market. That is how grassroots movements start.
Long live the unwoke.

I've been dreaming lately of replacing all roads with a massive organic vegetable patch... just follow it and trade with folk...

yeah when I have land I am going to start tons of local wild fruit plants and give the plants to others..blackberries are all over here, and huckleberries, salmonberries..olives are being grown here now..apples grow real well here, plums..peaches..grapes..cherries..why people here dont just fill yards with apple trees and cherry trees and make big hedge like fences of berry bushes I dont understand..instead they have these funny lawn of useless grass that they cut all the time and fertilize that actaully use up alot more water than if they just let it grow wild..
