..i bumped this thread as there was some recent discussion of plant-based vs synthetic DMT..and there are always questions about different forms of dmt, and the odd melting point query..

this thread discussion got continued into some interesting technical areas in:
Polymorphism 2nd attempt? in Advanced Chemistry..

& there was a bit of a debate with a few POVs on synthetic vs plant dmt in this thread https://www.dmt-nexus.me/forum/d...aspx?g=posts&t=23339..Wink

..on a note, Fitzgerald and Simous (1965) isolated DMT from Acacia maidenii..after chromatographing it, as the Picrate they obtained both a yellow and red form with fractionally different melting points..re-x turned the red into the yellow..this suggests probable betacarbolines (or other compounds) in the red form..
