52 years old for DMT last year

16 years old for LSD in 1974

No psychedelics between 1982 and 2010. DMT was a looooonnnnggg time coming.

Following 10 years seeking, at age 30. At a time when I was teetering on the edge following an extreme life change I was united with the spice at just the right time!

I used to love acid, but in 10 years I have had one successful flight (not due to my not trying!), I hadnโ€™t really been in contact with mushrooms for a while either. I found spice and knew I had found what I was looking for Smile Since finding it I have yet to be without!

32 years old..
It took me by surprise because I loved mushrooms and acid when I was younger.
I even remember getting synthetic mescaline micro dots back then. Surprisingly I didn't know anything about DMT when it was introduced to me years later.

We became very well acquainted fairly quickly!

heard about it at 21
met someone who had done it at 23
wrote it off as "I'll never find it" until I was 28 and found Erowid & the Nexus

I couldn't have handled it when I was early 20's so it came along at the right time for me

26 for me, as soon as knew of dmt extracted it, felt a pull to it and just had to go down that road.
Black then white are all I see in my infancy.
Red and yellow then came to be,
reaching out to me, lets me see.
There is so much more and it beckons me to look though to these,
infinite possibilities.

33 for me as well, thanks to the great info here at the Nexus!

First psych was LSD at 17 or 18 followed by some serious "study" of various psyches for the next 5+ years. Then just very occasionally. Had been very interested in DMT for probably 12+ years cause I definitely remember reading something about it while in college, but didn't know how to extract or find any when I first was interested. Then it kind of fell to the wayside for a while before I got a renewed interest and found the Nexus.

Dioxippus,

You say you had/have cluster headaches, poor man I hear its one of the most painful conditions known...hope it gets better with age.

I have been curious lately about the difference between dmt and Salvia. All I know is its similar and with Salvia there is a good chance you will encounter something terrifying, I have seen videos of such. I myself recently had a harrowing experience after I smoked 70mg of spice in 1 hit (accidentally). If you get a moment could you tell me the differences you noticed between spice and Salvia. In a pm or here if you are ok with that, Thanks.

I will always have the cluster headaches, I assume at least. I'm fairly confident that if I didn't take my "medicine" regularly that I would go back to suffering. I've had them since early childhood. Some people claim that the seasons trigger them, or certain foods, etc. Mine was mostly diet and stress I believe. I changed my diet and I stopped getting migraines (apart from the cluster headaches, they were just much less intense) but I would still have bouts of cluster headaches. So debilitating that I have lost jobs, friends, and I would have to admit almost my sanity at times. They're also called "suicide" headaches, for good reason.

The LSA seeds and mushrooms have kept them away for quite some time now (and I also suspect Salvia, although I haven't tested it to be sure, abstaining from the LSA/mushroom for long enough). I still remember them vividly, but I hope I'll never have to experience them again. The thing was that they got worse with age rather than better, if you can believe that. I'm confident that regular low doses of psychedelics will keep them at bay though.

The difference between Salvia and DMT, the much asked question Smile

I think they're very similar. I have plenty of experience with Salvia, and have just started to experience DMT, but they're like sister substances. They can both be terrifying. I think Salvia is dubbed as the scarier because people tend to overdose on it much more easily and more often. You wouldn't just "pack a bowl" of DMT, now would you? Smile Why should it be any different with a potent Salvia extract, I wonder.

Salvia seems more familiar, DMT more alien. They can both be familiar and both grossly alien, however. So now I'm speaking in riddles Very happy It's hard to describe the real differences. I think they are both very powerful, and very important substances. They do combine very nicely, I will say that. They open and expand each other. I've only made one batch of changa that didn't include some Salvia in it so far.

I was 27 when I first found out about DMT. I came across a song by some dub-step guy, Nit Grit, called Dimethyltryptamine and instantly felt the urge to learn more. Tried my first extraction a few months later and viola, here I am on the Nexus Smile
This, what I'm experiencing now, is a whole new level of my being.

I was 26 when I first smoked dmt. I had tried rue and mimosa twice before my smoked expereince but never had a strong dmt experience, strangely I wasnt really aware of smoking dmt, id heard of it but didnt think you could aquire it. Got talking to someone local on the ayahuasca forums who brought some dmt up to my house, I was totally blind and said so you going to let me try this, smoked it perfectly with my new friend holding the lighter, what a shock I got started crying and shit in front of someone I barely knew, totally blown away, extracted some after listening to podcasts on it by max freakout and my new friend also helped so really got shown, found the nexus after smoking for a few months, couldnt beleive my luck, though it was quite but still people actually understood, now loads know about it which is great! I got totally sidetracked with smoked dmt and put aya on the backburner for a year, then went back to aya and mainly cappi only. I hardly touch dmt this weather, different living circumstance right enough, currently working all the time to go travel the world with the friend I made on the aya forums, strange how things work out. Also like others Id had lots of high dose mushroom experiences and loads of experiences with acid, never really stopped taking psychedelics since I was 13, think it was too young but I was mature for my age and we all loved acid and mushrooms, wasnt just me but nowadays its only a few folks who are still into it, the rest of our crowd are into occasional ecstasy tablets, cocaine and alcohol, and were the crazy ones!! makes sense eh? Laughing

Dioxippus,

Hey thanks for answering my question, I cant believe it gets worst with age...damn that's sad especially the losing your job and friends. Life's hard but shouldn't be that hard for any man. I can most definitely see why you may have been on the edge in the past, but for what ever reason you still going strong. It must take a certain type of soul to be able to keep going while being tested like that. Wow got a lil deep here. Iv sent a virtual man hug you way.

Yeah they are both terrifying, I have seen bad videos on Salvia and I experienced DMT horrendously this week TWICE. I wont go into detail as I don't want to jack Tele's thread too much, and he's been great with advice on my thread about my horrible experiences.

You say its only scary on Salvia when you take too much...and that's the same on DMT. "Salvia seems more familiar, DMT more alien" So Could you explain a bad salvia trip...dont worry I have the bad DMT trip coveredVery happy . So I could compare the two. I am just trying to understand my recent experiences, and for some reason Salvia keeps coming to mind. Thanks.

tale, Nice 1 brother exactly what I needed. I am engrossed in that link already. A big cup of coffee and ill be there all day. In the very first link on that page I can totally related to what you guy is saying, thoughts of my own experience started kicking in around the 14th line/paragraph down when he thinks he's is lost from reality. Like Dioxippus has stated the real difference is mine, is that on D it seems to be more complexly alien. Way to unfamiliar vs A welcome back familiarly. Cheers again ma man.

Dioxippus, thanks for the PM.

Yeah, read it out but forget about all the matters about bad trips after that... They are those occasions when we come face to face with our deepest fears and if we overcome them, it makes us hellofalot stronger. And honestly, like in your case, if anyone would jump in to the unknown with those doses from GVG, I'm pretty sure he/she would be scared shitless and never touch that stuff again. I probably would say "never again". Just be aware that you overdid your dose and that's all, I'm sure most people here would get difficulties from 70mg dosage, I probably would. I would never consider smoking over 40mg, it's way intense already. Start with 15-20mg next time, even 10mg, if you decide to try again, I'm pretty sure you'll be fine.

And these are GVG doses, very different from bong etc. where you have to put more stuff for same results.

36. But like many I used mushrooms and LSD often in my youth and then took a very long extended break from them. I reunited with mushrooms because I needed to do some self work. I had heard about DMT years ago, but was never acquainted with it. Didn't think much of it honestly until I was researching shrooms via google and at one point ended up at this forum. The rest as they say is history. I have used DMT less than all other psychedelics. I have great respect for the sheer power of this molecule. Shrooms are still my number 1. I don't do them often, and I mostly like to do them alone or with a very very close nit group of like minded people.

Peace

Yeah that's what I need to do tele, just put it down to over loading. An get back on that horse...well maybe a pony...just for a while ay. I have notice a lot of the longer term members end up after some time only taking real low doses. Now I don't know if this is because they have opened many channels in there brain and now spice knows exactly where to go and uses the DMT efficiently OR they have had a helluva experience like me.

Also I cant be the only fool who has over did it on the GVG first time(S)its too efficient not to have caught more people out. Not to give the GVG bad press, only this dime-bars fault controlling it. Cheers again tele, sound advice as usual.
