Im glad your ok man. This should be stickied for people to read. Starting low and working up is the best method for avoiding such things.
People should use sitters and for reasons just like this.

For those not using or able to find a sitter... this is exactly why working up the dose each session starting low is ideal.
Like i said, Im glad your ok but i feel like this could have been avoided had you heed the words we say so often.

Yes I should have given myself more time to ask people here that are more experienced with pharma and MAOI's. I should have waited for the answers. It was kind of a sudden idea to do this that night 'cause it was my last chance before my wife would come back with my parents in-law. But rushing things is NEVER a good idea when it comes to these substances. They are too powerful. I thought I had given it enough time. I forgot how bad things can get. And I say it again, I'm so happy I managed through this hell intact. I've been amazed how well I've been today. I know it's going to take time to digest this.

So people, please give yourself time for these explorations. There's no rush.

Peace!

@ DMTripper - Out of curiosity: How do your vaporized DMT experiences compare to this? Obviously, they didn't prepare you for what you encountered, or did they somewhat prepare you?

They are kind of nothing like what I experienced there. I got a little of the DMT visuals there but the rest was just chaos and terror. I've never suffered on DMT.
I've had difficult experiences, one in particular, but it's something very different. This was just total mindfuck. When my mind fucks up on DMT I don't know who or where I am. I know nothing and then I come back. But there I was totally aware of how absolutely fuckt I was.

Wow man , Thats really tough. I'm glad you're OK now though Smile

The thing that shocks me most is : no consequences from the Police ? they just helped you. and then let you be ? that's so nice if it was the case

Police acting in the name of a good society rather than for adhering to of laws. Nice

It's going to take me a good time to integrate what I went through, but already BIG changes are happening in my life. I went on this trip to work on my anxiety mostly, and now things in my life that were causing most of it are being taken away from me Smile Last friday I something happened that can only have been orchestrated by some higher powers. The series of events were too perfect to be happening by chance.
This is amazing. Sorry I can not go into more detail, I have a good reason but wow! I knew something was on the horizon but how everything is clicking into place and..... this is just so weird.
I know good times are ahead.
I feel more at ease now than the last years. I feel there's something watching over me.
This last week has been crazy Smile

Peace!

DMTripper, I am glad you made it safely.I felt close to your experience because I had a very similar first( and only) pharma experience with 220mgs caapi extract and 80mgs dmt.I forgot who I was where I was and what I had taken, that alone made me panic so much, I thought I was going to get insane also.Wanted to call the ambulance also, but my wife called a close friend of mine and that was very helpfull.I wanted also to forget about this drugs, I was so affraid.Since then I have reduced a lot my use of mescaline and dont take it anymore it in a more "profane" way I used to do sometimes.I think the attitude learned is Respect.
As for pharma: after 3 months of my first experience Im thinking of doing it again BUT this time with a friend + a sitter and in a place by nature, by the river in the mountains AND using other proportions in the mix.
Ayahuasca has been used traditionally for centuries.Ive taken Ayahuasca in Peru back in 2005 it was wonderfull and a very easy going mellow mystic experience with light visuals. The proportions used are quite different, shamans are not so centered in DMT, I think they value more The Vine, thats why its called Ayahuasca (vine of the souls).DMT is used as a pinch of "The Light".Usually 30mgs.I cant link you right now a table with the analysis of several brews I read in the internet once but I recall that 300-400 mgs of harmalas where used and 20-40 mgs of DMT.If someone can find that link please post it here.In my opinion the advice for Pharma in the web is to DMT based.
IF Pharma is used to emulate Ayahuasca or to be a version of it I belive it has to adjust to this parameters, I cant imagine someone like me using 100mgs of DMT orally, than can be very dangerous.
I am considering something like 300-350 caapi extract + 40 dmt for the next aproach.

As noted before, pharma has one of the most unpredictable dosages (especially for the first time). The experience you get from 40mg DMT can be the same experience it takes someone else 200mg. Some people are highly insensitive to pharma. Backing off on your DMT dose in this case does sound like a wise idea. Anyway, let us know how it goes.

Heavy DMTripper! I can't say I've had a remotely similar experience on pharma, but I can say I've had similar thoughts, thoughts of family, friends, being locked up forever, finding some way to escape the terror, etc., at one time on an extremely terrifying LSD trip. For me too it turned out to be one of the most positive experiences of my life. Funny how that happens! Wink

Glad you're ok and things are looking up for you brother!

Peace,

Just a little follow up.
My life has kind of been turned upside down since that trip. I've had to go through some weird things and my life has changed a lot. And there are some changes ahead. I'm being forced to clean up my life and do things that I've been postponing for years. It's been a lot of work but I'm on still sea now and there are good things ahead Smile I don't thing there's a coincidence that all this is happening just right after the trip. I got a day and a half after the trip to recover and rest, and then the cleaning process started. And compared to the intensity of the experience I know there's more integrating to come. I'm still understanding what happened. It will take time to process all this.
But I know I should now give all psychedelics a rest and focus on this reality. My life here, not in other dimensions Smile

I'm very relived and feeling positive about my future Smile

Glad to hear everything's going well. If you decide to take up the torch again, let us know.

hey, at first reading your report, I was concerned you had called the paramedics, and then wondered how you could possibly get away with doing that... and then after reading you were in Iceland it made sense. :-)

Well, reading your experience, I thought, yeah, it can be like that. This is one of the deepest self confrontational materials there is... is there anything as deeply confrontational?

If you can use the phone, then you haven't gone THAT deep, a lot of the time, I'm totally GONE, unable to do anything - just totally focussing on the journey.

Yeah, this is normal too... this is serious folks. You *are* going to go seriously out of your mind. You are going to let go of your mind. So prepare for it.

When I first started out for the first time, I had someone do polarity bodywork on me when I went through those cold shivers and was there for me.

Later sessions, I almost always did outside in nature and so whatever my actions were, they didn't effect anyone else. No matter what happens, you always come out the other side. It can be an ordeal. There are some really terribly, horrendous spaces you can touch with these materials... and of course, it can go the other way as well. But it is very fucking far from being "recreational."

Personally, I would recommend taking 50 grams of caapi tea and then 30-40mg of DMT for a first time... I see pharmahuasca as being more something to experiment with rather than to take seriously as a path, simply because a good tea is always going to better.

DMTripper, I've always found getting back on the horse, is ultimatley a good idea, even then, the horse can be a bucking bronco, but sometimes it is best just to pick yourself up and get back on it.
