hey, i`m tensecondtom

in the last years i read a lot on this board and now "kurekure" convinced me to introduce myself.

before i made expieriences with psychdelics i had trouble reading
social cues and understanding nonverbal language.
i had trouble knowing what to say in conversations, when to start speaking and when to
stop speaking. i faild to notice subtle conversational cues like
change in tone of voice or body posture.

in fact, i had have trouble with
social language in general.

my whole childhood was really depressing, because i did not know whats going on in this world and nobody was able to explain it to me. i have the feeling that i`ve experienced the phenomenas around me a lot different than other kids/schoolmates/colleagues/etc.
also i`m hypersensetive to many sounds, smells, lights and other stuff....

since i made different expieriences with a lot of plants and substances, i really start get around with the world around me and other people - now i would say i`m a totally funtionable part of society and would love to share my expieriences with you.

my interessts: healing, reserch, growing, experimenting....

Have you been diagnosed with Asperger, or anything like that ? It's interesting to hear the experiences of altered states of consciousness of individuals who's brain operates differently from majority, to some extent. I too, have had altered states when I've felt more 'normal' than usual.

Hi, and welcome to the nexus.

Would you mind to tell as a bit about you experience you have mentioned. Have you tried DMT ? How about Ayahuasca ?

Hi tensecondtom,

Welcome to the Nexus! What an amazing introduction. I wonder if you would be willing to develop this idea a bit more - that your use of psychedelics helped you to function better socially? I'd for one love to hear about that.

I can only imagine that the computer world - the world of text forums and chat rooms works very well for you - given the lack of visual cues or even need to respond.

It's important to take some time to read the entire content of those links you got in your welcome email here. You may notice those links are also visible in the upper right hand corner of your forum pages. . . . .

When you first join up at the Nexus you are a New Member. You are restricted to posting in the Welcome and Collaborative Research areas although you can view the entire content of all of the sub forums by just logging on. You will be permitted to post in all those other areas once you are promoted to regular Forum Membership. This happens just by posting and being yourself. Eventually mods will notice you and promote you. It does not happen with a specific number of posts or within a specific time period. Nexus is a bit different in this way. The mods want to actually get to know you and understand that you understand the rules and culture here.

So, please do check and read those links - I think they will help give you a great start here. There's a huge amount to read and see in the Nexus. I hope you enjoy what you find and make many new friends.

Again, a very warm welcome to you.
