My friends and I find that when we use this spice we are inviting the divine to the surface.
Of course divinity is always there/ here, but usually (for most) it's just under the surface.

We offer ceremony for protection, to create a safe vibration because we feel like we're opening the doors to ALL of creation.

When we smoke a deep silence and tangible energy fills the room so that even after we've all returned from hyperspace we all feel like we don't want to break the charm and cut that silence. The silence is sacred and despite wanting to share our experiences the first words spoken are always whispers.

Humble and powerful at the same time.
How do you guys work with sounds/ silence?

Sounds/silence is always somewhat of a tricky issue for me, and there's several reasons why. First of all sounds (primarily music) will directly move my visuals, and as such, even at higher levels, the visuals can't proceed the way they intended. So it can prevent you from seeing what the end-goal of what you were meant to see was. Alternatively listening to music can be quite blissful as well and there were times that I've become the music where I can't distinguish my physical body or self from the music. Another drawback to music is that if there are entities talking to me, if there's music going, I'm not likely to even notice. Not only that but if you're lucky enough to get the beautiful sounds of hyperspace, you probably won't hear those with music going. With "silence" everything goes "according to plan", I can hear the audio hallucinations if they're there, and I can receive information from entities if they offer it. I have been upset with myself on a handful of occasions where I was listening to music and I closed my eyes and I could just tell that it was gonna be one of those "special trips", one of particular divinity and upset that I may not get the message, or the "story" may not develop the way it originally wanted to.

Whatever you do (and I learned this the hard way) is that if you are listening to music, don't turn it off in the middle of a song. It can severely confuse and discombobulate hyperspace to the point where it will become sluggish and just not do anything at all or I've also had it turn itself inside-out, backwards, upside-down. Sometimes when I listen to a song sober though, I do think, "this would be a cool song to listen to on DMT" so I've come up with a method that sort of circumvents the issues listed above. What I do is that I have my ipod right next to me, with the song selected, ready to be played and if my experience looks like it's gonna be not-so-special, then I can just cue the music, and it's actually usually pretty good at turning a boring experience around. Likewise, if it turns out that it is gonna be a significant trip, then I just wait for the "story" part to be over, the part where if your eyes have been closed the whole time, things pretty much stop happening, and then with the 5-10 minute very psychedelic afterglow I get where I'm by most psychedelic user's standards tripping hard (but not by DMT standards Wink ) then I'll cue the music then.

Wow, that's wonderful.
When I talked about silence in the above post I failed to mention that we always have light music on in the background. Usually something very tranquil simply creating a sounscape. Psybient euphoric sounds rather than music. It's beautiful.

Yesterday I arrived in a place with the experience and then felt that I left earlier than I could have done, I now feel that it was perhaps the music that bought me back. I have described this experience fully in the Welcome - First Steps section.

Silence is golden, embracing true silence will be my next adventure.
In our group we all felt that we didn't want to talk or even make a footstep/ fidget/ noise even though the gentle music was quietly tinkling in the background.

It's such an honour to be in such hallowed space.
I'm thrilled to have such good friends in real life to share this all with and to have found a community online to reflect my thoughts with.
Bless us X

in my little experience with hyperspace i find that music is amazing. The music does become the soundtrack. I used to think anything would sound amazing. but some music actually did not leave me in complete bliss. such as Icaros on youtube, i narrowed it down to Enya - Waterfall it gives me bliss everytime.

good thread. I would love to find out what others listen to if they do choose music/sounds
as above, so below

it depends much from the set you have.

in my experience, if i am home in my room, i like to have some minimalistik music, because i feel a silence trip between 4 walls becomes very sterile, it usually never got me very far..
i allways felt the experience indoors was being limited by the limits of the house or something, so i just let the music guide me.

for me the best auditive experience to add to a hiper space journey, is being in the midle of the nature, in silence, but receptive to its sounds.
listening to the wind, and the tree branches while the wind passes, the crickets, the frogs, etc.. allways was the most pleasent experience.. and its the way i allways got the best results independent of doses, etc..

but in the other hand, being in the beach for example, listening to the waves, allways got me a revolving experience, very limited my fisical/emotional/mental dimensions, not good for breaking trough, but defenitly good to seek an healing journey in any of those realms..

in matter of sound there is a lot to explore, we can use specific sounds for specific purposes..
Healing someone is an act of love, but how can you love someone whitout loving yourself first?
