Hi all.

Been browsing on and off for a few days and have decided that this forum is something that I would like to be a part of, by contributing to and learning from. My participation might grow into something quite unimaginable, equally this might end up being the only post I ever make and I never come back again. I really don't expect the latter but having seen just how unpredictable life, the universe and everything can be lately, I refuse to make any firm, definite prophecies.

I sense that a friend will be sharing some spice with me soon and if so, it will be my first time. It's something I've considered exploring for a few years now. It has taken time to get to this point, where I see many paths converging and feeling that it will be the right thing to do.

Having explored many, many different drugs over my previous 33 years I have embarked on an adventure featuring almost exclusively only the psychedelic kind for the last 12 months. My consumption has been quite reasonable (though I suspect some less enlightened souls might have considered it excessive) and I now really feel I am ready to use one of the "scarier" tools in self and universal analysis. I can honestly say that although I have a VERY deep and profound respect for DMT, I have very little (if any) fear. I suspect as I become more familiar with (whilst accepting I may never truly, fully "understand"Pleased it, I will gain even MORE respect for it and hopefully less and less fear.

I look forward to being part of this community - hope to converse and exchange insight, ideas and understanding with you all soon.

Peace.

Hi undisclosed,

Welcome to the Nexus. Everything I write here is strictly just one woman's opinion. My only "qualifications" are that I've used DMT.

You sound like a great candidate for DMT. You probably know this from other psychedelic explorations, but letting go and surrendering are the absolute best way to deal with something that comes on so fast and so intensely.

No matter what you expect, I suspect you are in for quite a surprise. It will most likely be a really pleasant one. Try to stay open minded.

Your attitude sounds fine. Respect is good for any psychedelic, especially one with such a reputation for intensity as DMT. I would suggest though that you not spend too much time worrying about fear and respect at this point in time. Just try to meditate or relax and clear your mind, then take the hit(s) and hold, then lay back, close your eyes and let Everything go. Surrender. Let it All go. All assumptions. All attachments. Just try to be open to the experience and worry about interpreting or judging it later. Also, if it should come up in your thoughts, trust your body to function just fine while you are in the immersive DMT experience.

By the way, presuming you enjoy your experience and decide you might want to conduct further explorations, there are many fine do-it-yourself extraction teks here that do not require an indepth knowledge of chemistry. Definately worth taking a look at the incredible resources of the wiki pages. Here's a quick link for your convenience. General wiki link is also on the top right of the Nexus page.

Again, a hearty welcome. I sincerely hope you enjoy and get a lot out of your upcoming journey. And I for one sure do hope this will not be your last post.

"But even if nothing lasts and everything is lost, there is still the intrinsic value of the moment. The present moment, ultimately, is more than enough, a gift of grace and unfathomable value, which our friend and lover death paints in stark relief."

Welcome to the Nexus!!Smile

This DMT stuff is incredibly powerful but the Nexian named Pandora is absolutely correct about the mind-set one needs to get the best out of it.Easy to say, but a little harder to do but total surrender is the key!

Once again, welcome!Wink
I am paranoid of my brain. It thinks all the time, even when I'm asleep. My thoughts assail me. Murderous lechers they are. Thought is the assassin of thought. Like a man stabbing himself with one hand while the other hand tries to stop the blade. Like an explosion that destroys the detonator. I am paranoid of my brain. It makes me unsettled and ill at ease. Makes me chase my tail, freezes my eyes and shuts me down. Watches me. Eats my head. It destroys me.

Thanks for you replies Smile

I have discovered what a boon meditation and relaxation techniques are to the psychedelic experience - before, during and after. I certainly intend to employ methods which been partially taught to me but mostly self learned if I should ever sample the spirit molecule.

Indeed, I am also very interested in performing my own extractions. I'm certainly no chemist but on my investigations into this area so far, the guides contained within the wiki look achievable and while no such thing can be completely without risk, the potential for harm would appear to be minimised.

I give thanks to all who have positively contributed to this wonderful site over the years and am very looking forward to discovering what role I might play in it's future development no matter how small or large.

Though I don't have any way to prove it, I'm the same person as the OP in this thread. Totally forgotten my original password and I set myself some kind of cryptic password reset which I can't remember the answer to either!

Bumping this in the slight hope that a mod might either be able to pass the original account back to me or grant me full member status on this one. I've browsed a few threads elsewhere on the forum I'd like to be able to post in.

Thanks

Glad you finally decided to post.
