I've been meaning for awhile to categorize some of the stuff that happens along
with spice that I can't explain, out of curiosity mainly for some comparative
anecdotal exchange.

Here are some of the stranger things that happen when I smoke spice:

1. [This is very frequent.] I get a persistent feeling that features of the room
like doors and furniture are on the opposite side from where they're supposed to
be. This one seems likely to have a simple neurological explanation. Also, places
like my room, which you must understand is an avalanche waiting to happen and an
endless cavalcade of fun, will appear larger, taller, and far more sparse in decor.
You know, like I had an extreme tidy makeover from Ikea or something.

2. [Occasional.] I will sometimes get a very strong feeling of someone standing
at my elbow; like when a shadow falls across your peripheral vision, and then flits
away just as you turn your head to look. The sense of presence when this happens
is overwhelming. I will even sometimes seem to feel a tap on my shoulder. It's
kind of like being in the room with a number of playful and crafty djinn. {"Look
now! No! Over here! No, there! ...made you look! ha ha!"}

3. [This one's pretty much every time.] The very first thing I notice is, the
crappy urban air where I live suddenly feels cool and clear to breathe, and tastes
sweet, like drinking water from a stream in the mountains. If I happen to have any
respiratory issues at the time, like last week when I had a gnarly case of strep
throat, they vanish for quite awhile. This may have a biochemical explanation.

4. [Quite often.] I will feel like I am very very tall, if I happen to be
standing up; and objects which I pick up feel almost weightless. I tried picking
up something really heavy, just to see; but alas! it was still really heavy. No
superpowers.

I know there's more, but I can't remember them just at the modelent. I'd love to
know if these are familiar at all to others?

1. I've never had the room flipped around, but it does sound intriguing. I'm not very good with optics, but if I remember correctly, your brain does do some flipping of images, so perhaps the DMT is inhibiting part of that process. As far as things looking neater, I definitely get this. Everything is picture-perfect and the places where objects are seem like just the place they're supposed to be.

2. I get this feeling of an entity just beyond vision too. As opposed to physically turning your head, next time you might wanna simply try to focus your mental attention in that direction. I also feel like they are sometimes tapping me on the shoulder, but then I usually end up wondering if my brain is misinterpreting the sensation of wearing a shirt.

3. I can't specifically remember getting that breathing sensation, but I definitely remember breathing easier after a positive session.

4. I've never felt taller, but I have felt objects with distorted weights. I also like the paradoxically weightless/heavy sensation of walking around. It's like I feel floaty and being pulled down all the same.

Good post
1, I've not had the image flip thing on DMT but have had similar with MXE, the other day I thought that my hallway carpet had changed colour for a while but for a different example of optical weirdness on dmt I've found myself focusing/staring at the palm of my hand then upon switching focus to each fingertip in turn its as if my brain has to repaint the image from scratch each time and changes the perspective slightly which I suppose IS what happens its just more of an issue with Dmt.. fun though.. also The changa interior decorating is purely sublime

2, I get similar feelings of entities & being in a place full of pranksters trying to take my spliff of me. I wonder.. Im also part blind in my right eye so get lots of shadows/entities on that side of my vision it seems

3, The breathing thing I can relate to everything seems much sweeter though

4, The tallness also very common feeling on lots of trips I've had

1. Never seen things on the opposite side, but I have seen furniture removed and then replaced at an alarming speed, by the strangest little critters I could ever imagine...my stereo disappeared once, and a little lizard came along at hyper-speed and vomited by stereo back into existence...nothing of any spiritual significance, but interesting! lol

2. the guide, is the one you speak of....it seems as if there is one guide, so to speak, assigned to us once we have discovered dmt, and after our introductory journey...I always used to notice it as a clear shadow, but after a long time of working with plants and spirits, I now recognize this figure had always been my father (who is alive and well, actually).

3. Yes, the air is cool inbetween vibrations...I have found it is something akin to being near a fog machine and inhaling some of the vapours...very energizing, to say the least...I like to think this is how it feels to breathe in higher astral planes...

4. And as far as feeling tall, I'm not surprised. Perception is played upon greatly during the dmt flash, I've seen myself everywhere from tall and super thin, like some kind of evolved human, to short and squat, just like a dwarf..I believe while under the influence of dmt, what we percieve is etheral dimensions, and in these visions, the 'ethereal' body seems to sometimes adjust to what is being experienced within those visions, hence, what your mind is focused or subconsciously focused on...hence, hyperspace is All and Every.

It is interesting that one of the reports that I have seen commonly referenced with yopo/cebil is that the natives found that they perceived the room to be flipped over as if they were standing on their heads. This may be in the wiki page on yopo.

As for the shadowy entities, I have never seen them with eyes open but I notice that the entities that I see with eyes closed begin as colored shadows and not three dimensional beings. Think technicolor Balinese shadow puppetry at high speed. If I had a large enough dose of admixture (I as of yet only brew, not extract) these will gain more and more definition until they are all around me, perfectly precipItated crystalline forms.

Hi I hope I am not hijacking here, but since your questions were answered, I was wondering if I might ask a few of my own.

1) Hands/arms extruding from walls. Happens more often than not. It seems as though there are arms slowly morphing out of the walls. It isn't a scary sensation, at all, its actually quite embracing for some reason. I have a hard time recalling what the hand gestures are, but there are usually lots of them, usually coming from the wall I am facing.

2) Geometric patterns. Happens every time. I see this is a very common theme among people, people here on the boards and people I have experienced with in real life. It appears that textures take on the form of geometry, almost as if the true physical surface of objects is really this geometry style design pattern. Any idea what that might be, why we might all see that, or what it may represent?

3) Angels/women/goddesses. Every other time. This isn't the normal entity, or creature type being... These are specific women, who seem to play the role in quite a few peoples trips. Transcendent, beautiful, intricate, flowing entities that can be commonly related to as women in our physical world.

wow... it's pretty interesting to see what different things everyone has experienced with the spirit molecule. i seem to experience certain motifs with my DMT trips.

my hands always appear to be alien. this also happens with my feet, but i always seem to play with my hands and make certain patterns and movements. i have come to the conclusion that this is part of a sacred geometry that DMT imparts.

also as the above poster mentioned- intense geometric patterns. they don't necessarily appear out of thin air, but objects all seem to fit into some kaleidoscopic alignment. during one trip i had, the trees in my backyard were showing me how they were formed to reach towards the sky. also as another person mentioned, things tend to sit in a perfect order. the first time i experienced this was when i walked through my kitchen to see what it looked like and everything on the counters was so neatly placed, the floor, cabinets, and everything seemed elegant. for lack of a better description, everything was in its right place (to quote radiohead Smile ).

i often feel as though things are being communicated to me. this goes along with the geometry/hand formations, but more strongly presents itself as thoughts that appear in my mind as though the spirits are speaking to me. i seem to get this more if i'm outside among plants, but i've gotten it from indoor trips as well.

the latest phenomenon i experienced was the shapeshifting of objects in my room. everything kept changing forms constantly and seamlessly. i was so amazing and unbelievable... it never happened before and i wonder if it will happen again.

i'm still learning the mysteries of this amazing substance.
You are me and I am you, I'll always be with you...

holy crap i just had an insane trip! i just wanted to say something real quick and didn't want to start a thread or anything so i figured i'd come here and see if anyone else experienced this sort of thing.

basically, when i closed my eyes and then opened them, what i was just seeing closed-eyed would be right there in my room! i kept seeing people and other types of entities... i hate to keep trying to describe my trips but every time i do DMT it is different.

i wouldn't call it a breakthrough, but it was super intense and unique. yowzers... and i am chilling here with my dog! haha he looked especially shaggy. he is the best dog in the world Smile

Yesterday I took two rips out of the GVG, and my brother (who didn't know I just took the hits) called me up to come look outside at the rain. I finished exhaling, and reluctantly got up and made my way for the stairs. I always forget how cool it is to walk around mid-experience but I love the motion of it despite the draining effort. Anyway after looking outside for a minute or so with everything growing and moving around with energy streaking to and fro, I came back inside and the dog was right there so I knelt down to play with her and she felt shaggier than ever. She was getting into it so much more than usual, really leaning into my hands and face, squealing with joy. I felt like she was feeding off the energy I was exhibiting. In any case, I'm pretty sure we had a sort of feedback loop going where her excitement was getting me more excited which was getting her more excited.....

Wow interesting what DMT can do haha. And to answer your question...
1) I have had the sensation of my room being distorted and feel like its backwards or that perhaps I'm backwards.. but then when i started to think about it i noticed that i wasn't even in my room.. i was in an empty room of an empty house. I usually get that sensation on JimJam rather then pure spice.. the jimmy makes it more obvious that I'm expanding my consciousness.. rather then just exploding into some new world like pure spice.
2) Usually at pre-breakthrough doses or right before a breakthrough occurs I always feel like I'm being tied down like I'm going in for surgery or something and get the sensation that someone is watching me, or multiple people for that matter.. sometimes heard voices and or saw what looked like shoes standing next to me in my peripheral vision.
3) I've noticed it more with Jimmy but the taste of DMT seems so natural and sweet with a little tart sorta like really good lemonade, except its DMT-ade Razz
4) Can only really relate to this one because of pharma.. I felt a purge coming on and was tripping outta my mind literally forcing myself to stand up made the room distort and stretch and it felt like my head was right next to the ceiling and my legs were stretched down in this oddly shaped.. sort of diamond-like room of mine.. and weightless is not how id put it at all.. I did have a sensation like i was free floating almost spinning like zero g environment but I realized that I was just getting really dizzy and running into walls and could barely stand up.. even turning my doorknob seemed like a feasibly impossible task at first.. but only because it felt weird to grab the doorknob almost like i had forgotten my senses or even what a doorknob was.

well, okay, that's a relief. About the mirror-image thing. Not that I was really worried, but knowing it's either simple neurology or elf humor somehow helps.

I have this painting I made of the self-transforming machine elves; but I painted them like the guys in PacMan, you know, Inky, Blinky, and the other two. And I asked them if I could please come and visit (I have trouble breaking through), and lo and behold, what a ride!

Pretty much every time I smoke Changa I feel like a giant. Makes me feel like I'm 9 foot tall. I've had a similar feeling once when smoking straight spice but when I smoke Changa it's almost every time.
