DMT Fumarates are only for oral consumption until converted back to freebase. If you know your spice will be exposed to heat, especially for extended periods, then storing them as fumarates is the best option.
While it's possible to convert freebase to fumarates it's a lot easier to start off with fumarates during the extraction process.
Either way, it's roughly the same process.
You dissolve spice in either xylene or d-limonene and salt the goodies out with a fumaric acid saturated solution. If using xylene, you use Fumaric Acid Saturated Acteone (FASA). If using d-limo use Fumaric Acid Saturated IPA (FASI).
It's a little more in-depth but worth learning imo.
For more info check out the
Fumaric Acid and Salt-precipitation fora. Also check out
Jorkest's D-Limonene and Fumaric Acid Approach and the
BLAB teks.
Information on converting the fumarates back to freebase is included in the BLAB tek and also in
this thread and
this thread.
As far as storage, I use little plastic containers that you would store beads in. A lot of people prefer glass or plastic vials. The great thing about glass is you don't have to worry about solvents to recollect any melted spice.
I don't believe foil is recommended because it speeds up the oxidation process but I could be mistaken. I don't remember where I heard that or I'd provide a source.
I hope this helps
