So this painting has been in a long time coming. My first breakthrough was last year May, and still to this day no experience has trumped it. Even now as I use the Spice somewhat regularly, I feel like I am always integrating what that first experience taught me. Every other breakthrough allows me to just analyze a certain part of that same familiar, yet oddly strange place. Regardless, I am quite happy with how this turned out and wanted to share with my fellow psychonauts.

Fittingly enough, this painting is called "Breakthrough" as it dual meaning personally (the experience) and also artistically (the techniques used, colors, etc.). Enjoy!

Peace,Love,Light~

I like how it draws your eye toward the vanishing point which isn't even in the picture.

I like it very much. Quite beautiful.

Gorgeous work - thank you so much for sharing. I don't know how you feel but the quality here is top notch - well worth the wait. I truly admire those with artistic inclination, given that all I've been able to use is the written word.

Is that a brain at the top, connected to the egg in the center?

Very nice quality to this piece of artwork and I agree with Pandora, it conveys the essence of the old colloquialism, "A picture paints a thousand words". It seems like a syllabus for the awakening of consciousness (yours, mine, all of ours). Was this a specific vision, in whole, or is it a composite of multiple visions? I mean, did you SEE this picture fully-formed (in your mind's eye) before picking up the brush? There is a wealth of symbolism, knowledge and metaphysical truth expressed in this work. I honestly feel the birthing of awareness it implies/explains/suggests... just by looking at it. Kudos, friend! Cool

WOW! Thank you all for replies! You gave me the biggest smile right now; I have a grin running ear to ear. It makes me so happy to share part of my experience with people that are on the level. When I display this piece at some of my art shows people always want to know...where the hell did this come from? haha it always makes me inwardly smile as I try my best explain a "breakthrough" moment (read "Ah-ha!" moments) without involving the Spice.

But to explain the origin, this image became burned in my mind after I left hyperspace my first time. From onset of the experience I was cast all around the cosmos like a ball in giant roulette wheel never quite settling anywhere until I came to this place. Perhaps it is my heaven, or perhaps it is the essence of me. In the center, the egg-like object had tentacles or vines bursting out of it oozing the essence of life as they pulsed and throbbed. Sometimes the egg would stop and turn in slow motion, very Matrix-esque and I could analyze several sides at once; even sides that opposed each other. During my vision, I did not want to look at the center but everything around me was drawing me to it. Around me where what felt like other spirits or entities. I tried my best to depict their nondescript features. You can see a few of them surrounding my vision; my version of the "greys". The one to the right was quite friendly, gesturing with his "hand" to step into the Light. While the one to the left stares almost blankly remaining completely passive as if to say, "he must choose alone".

This is when I became almost able to formulate questions, where a disembodied, yet familiar voice tried it's best to answer. "Where..am...I?"....."You are in You" This place was perhaps my birth and death all at once it felt like. What at first seemed like mountain ridges lining the top of my view, became gooey and alive as well. Was this my brain? I thought to myself. Something was still uncomfortable to me. I was still analyzing too much. The friendly grey to my right whispered, "This beautiful show is for you....Let Go...let us dance for you". I was scared but I knew it would be alright; I was never coming back. One last look and I surrendered my thoughts, my ego. The egg cracked and started coming apart at the seems. Beams of light shot forth from it's openings and these beautiful pinwheel archetypes started dancing and twirling with the the most vivid and beautiful colors and lights. Everything at this point was perfect. No reasons, no thoughts, no ultimatums, no plans. What was left of me shot forth through the egg and into the cosmos. There was no "I" anymore yet a piece of "me" remained to observe the whole entire Universe for a split second before "I" started coalescing back into my body.

I can not believe that just happened to me. Smile

Perhaps a picture and a story now. Thank you all again for checking out my artwork!

WTF that's genuine stuff. Especially those fanblades on the yellow background are somehow familiar.

The cartoon theme in general is quite reminding of the breakthrough places
