I couldn't say it's the same thing as you experienced but I have experienced getting nasty yellow burning residue on my lips from hitting a GVG. I always attributed it to the leftover burnt DMT left in the pipe and some friends suggested that it was because I was tilting the pipe slightly downwards. I've also experienced something along the lines of what you talk about when feeling like something is stuck in your throat when I hit some burnt DMT 'resin' from the GVG. I felt like my throat was closing and it scared the shit out of me. For a good 20 minutes afterward my throat felt awful, sore, and like something was clogging it up. I also suspected leftover solvent? Some pulls were done with naphtha, but most with xylene.

Cave paintings you probably get DMT on your lips for the same reason it accumalates in the u-bend of a GVG, the vapor condenses on colder surfaces

no I cant say i have ever had this problem with smoking DMT. If it continues for you though and you do suspect it is from DMT, than I would suggest you try taking oral DMT, or another method like sublingual, rectal etc

The wikipedia article on tonsil stones gives no reason to surmise that smoking DMT (or anything) would cause them. Most likely they seem related to chronic infection of the tonsils.

Maybe you have a chronic infection that’s aggravated by smoking?


If you’re properly vaporizing pure DMT the only thing that should collect due to condensation is pure white DMT. Either your DMT isn’t very clean, and/or you’re massively overheating it.

I would bet that what is really occurring is that you (i.e., the conditions of your throat and mouth, and their local flora) are not well for some reason, and the smoking exacerbates your condition to promote the stones.

I seriously recommend you visit a doctor about this (there's no need to mention DMT on the issue, but you can say the problem is associated with "smoking" ). If your tonsils are badly necrotic and degraded, you would do well to have them taken out. Otherwise, it would be good to investigate further what it is about your condition that allows these stones to generate.

I used to get really bad sinus infections and smoking anything would bother my sinuses. It wasnt really the smoking of cannabis or anything else that caused it though..it was the fact that my immune system was fucked up and I had food allergies on top of it that caused me to constanty have a low level sinus infection. I took alot of anti fungal and anti bacterial herbs and got on a very clean diet, and got lots of rest and I dont have that problem anymore. I would have to agree with what SWIMfriend said. I dont think smoking DMT can cause tonsil stones.

Ah! Now you're saying something different: not that it CAUSES stones, but that it causes stones to be RELEASED. I find that perhaps believable; and perhaps you should consider it a good thing: generally, people desire to remove them. Generally, I think health professionals agree that you are better to NOT have stones in your tonsils than to have them--if they are there, it is better that they be removed.

This is what I have at the moment, I am very susceptible to getting infections of the lymph nodes, so I usually get strep throat a couple times a year, its not very nice. I would contribute smoking tobacco to this happening, another reason for me to quit. Im sure maybe the burning of the DMT would cause some irritation to your tonsils.

I had follicular tonsilitis for years, finally gave in and had em removed. Never felt better after the recovery and no more sinus infections either. This was before DelMonTe, but not before cannabis, meth or tobacco smoking... All of which aggravated the condition. As did pollen and seasonal mold conditions. Take it for what it's worth.

I've seen those beautiful crystals on the GVG before. It must be from heating it too much. There is an accumulation of dark resin looking gunk up in there.

Are you sure it is not the acetic acid? Even when I evap vinegar salts to freebase the DMT..I can stille taste some vinegar stuff in there at times..it definaitly works just like freebase but if you using that tek for smoking as well I would concider that a possability.

I really dont know how DMT itself could be causing this. Have you concidered that somethign else in your diet might be causing them, and that taking the DMT just sort of irritates it more?..I would think there is something else causing them if they are there anyway and just get more irritated when you do smoke. Does not sound like DMT is causing them, just irritating what is already there.

Have you had proper allergy tests? Not the skin prick tests becasue those are not real allergy tests..have you had blood tests?

I used to get massive tonsil stones when i was a kid. They are nasty and smell funny. I hated them. I don't think they would be able to form immediately from smoking spice. I imagine you have them anyways and the spice is somehow irritating your tonsils to the point where they push out the stones. Have you tried looking for them before you smoke? They usually peek out of the tonsil showing a white tip. Sometimes you can't see them at all but they are there. I suggest visiting your general practitioner.

Another beneficial effect of DMT. My advice: keep using it to all of your tonsil stones "bubble out." Nobody wants tonsil stones.

I have the same problem (or solution I guess if you are trying to get your tonsil stones out...) as the op.

Within an hour after DMT I am spitting out ridiculous amounts of tonsil stones. And throughout the week following I have more than usual.

Every time. I do not get this from smoking other substances.

Lymphatic purge? Perhaps this action is somehow analogous to the ayahuasca purge? That may be a bit of a reach, I dunno man.
