Swim done STB tek only he left the lye and bark together for over a month in a hot place. He knows this is not how it's done, but lets just say there was some tricky covert circumstances going on. So he added fresh Naphtha. Now he has tried everything to separate this, he is not just being lazy and asking he has researched everywhere as best he could. Here is what he has tried. Warm bath,more lye,more water,vibrations,sucking solution up with pipette and jet squirting hard and deep(carefully) to disturb it...and yes he also tried sea salt....shaking rolling cuddling, kissing...he even asked nicely. She's not budging captain. This solution is not thick and no emulsion has formed.

Any advice so as Swim can procure some precious spice would be high five kinda great. He want's to see her again (some may know what he's talking about) any suggestion that is not mentioned about he is willing to try...any takers???

Whilst I am here I may as well ask when doing as sodium carbonate wash Swimm has noticed some rather white salt substance looking suspiciously like sodium carbonate, when it comes out of the freezer. I am def doing the wash correctly and am sureish that I am not leaving any SC solution in with the Naphtha. So is this just him being paranoid. Thanks fellow travellers.

Have you tried adding more water and lye?

Yep it's in my list of things iv tried above.Also tried EVERYTHING in the FAQ about this...nothing worked. Thanks anyway.

You still have organic material in the mix? or is an aqueous layer and non-polar layer?

i let my Mimosa/lye solution stand for 10 days, since I didt got my hexane. But on the tenth day, I figure that a thick layer of mimosa spume was forming. this alarmed me, since it looked like mimosa was sort of decomposing. i tried to mix down this spume and it sort of did, I ran in the moment to get some zippo lighter fluid and added it to prevent further catastrophies. point is, a month is triple than 10 days, and a hot place sounds to me as a putrefactor factor ( that sounds like hardcore band name or something lol). maybe splitting your solution into 2 different glass bottles and add water and lye may help, but im a newb so im not sure.

Ok done it. Divide a conquer seemed to do the trick. So I had a container of lye and hmrb/powder sitting in a hot place for over a month, I tried everything to separate with no joy. Finally I split the contents into to containers both now have about 450ml of solution each. then made a solution of about 200ml water with 10/15g lye, mixed and shared equally with both containers. Slowly mixed them and let them sit for an hour. Added a bit more Naphtha about 35ml each and put straight in a warm bath without any agitation, left that for 40mins then released any pressure build up an firmly agitation both solutions.

The second container separated the naphtha quick but the original container looked as if it did the same as before after I mixed it. But after a warm bath for about 4 hours, they both separated nicely ready for wash/freeze.
