I hope all is well with you WalkingSpirit. I am relatively new to the world of harmalas (I learned from the spice alone for a while
), and I have so far only experimented with harmala extract mixtures and caapi brews. However, from my research here on the nexus, it appears Harmaline is about twice as strong as Harmine. Harmaline is also present in much lower amounts naturally in the plant than Harmine, so you would intake much less harmaline than harmine in a caapi brew.
Harmine is supposed to be more of a clear headed high, whereas harmaline is supposed to have a heavy body load. It seems 200-250 mgs of Harmine are necessary for inhibition of MAO, but only 100-150 mgs of Harmaline are necessary to inhibit MAO.
I hope that was helpful. If not, I'm sure some other "harmala gurus" will be by shortly.
peace and happy journeys
