DMT as an activator in peering into our former selves of past lives that constitute our current, collective selves? That this could be the explanation to inherent beliefs, cognitive dissonance, and schizophrenia? It's an interesting theory, and I, too, have conceptualized reincarnation in the same fashion. Who knows, though?
"'Most men will not swιm before they are able to.' Is not that witty? Naturally, they won't swιm! They are born for the solid earth, not for the water. And naturally they won't think. They are made for life, not for thought. Yes, and he who thinks, what's more, he who makes thought his business, he may go far in it, but he has bartered the solid earth for the water all the same, and one day he will drown."

I have had these sorts of experiences on hallucinogenics before, which has lead to my theory of reincarnation experiences actually being lucid genetic memory. Which would also mean that when someone gets the feeling that they have lived before, then they would have to be genetically related (i.e. a descendant) of that person (or persons, since it is possible to relive the memories/feelings of multiple people). Just my own tuppence on the matter, but this would tie in pretty well with many of the tribalistic peoples around the world whose shaman always get high and go ask thier ancestors for advice....und so weiter.
