I think it time for SWIM to take a break and let the real me speak... Lol..
I don't know about you guys, but I personally find the word SWIM annoying. I know what it stands for, and I also know that it offers NO legal protection. So, why do people use it so much? And am I the only one agains it? What are you thoughs on SWIM? And should we put SWIM out of his misery?

even with a web-based proxy they can track your ass.

Yeah, I stopped using SWIM a short while back, makes it so hard to keep a coherent passage I find... Now I write in the first person, but it's pure fiction as practise for my creative writing projects Laughing I would never dream of taking any form of drug, honest!

I only use SWIM as a joke, I think it sounds funny.
Especially when people say, "My brothers pet hamster smoke some DMT, and blah blah blah, and <insert experience report here> so I decided to smoke more DMT and then I ... and so on ... "
I think the term SWIM originated from The Hive, although I'm not too sure.

Anyway, I was looking for the DMT Music thread, but I couldn't find it. So I'll just post this video here.

I think this song would be interesting on DMT.

"Uh . . . Hello, officer."

"Son, we've tracked a lot of questionable activity to your computer."

"No, I'm afraid you're mistaken, sir."

(presents warrant, search ensues)

"Son, is all this DMT we've found in your freezer all you have?"

"It's not mine."

"Uh huh. And on your computer here you've posted detailed descriptions and pictures of the entire extraction process."

"No, sir! It clearly states in the disclaimer that it someone who isn't me!"

"Put your hands behind your back, sir, you're under arrest."

If there ever was a cop that was questioning me, I would just reply to them:
"I was just doin' thangs."

They can't arrest people for doin' thangs.

Yup - Which is why MASKING your internet activity is so important -- as well as limit the number of connections made between your Nexus Handle and your RL self (*cough* RayOfLight *cough* and others who share Facebook pages).

Also, TrueCrypt is a lifesaver. And free.

I dont think SWIM really protects you from anything. If they want to link you to posts here or elsewhere using SWIM is not going to make a different IMO. It is annoying I think as well seeing SWIM 100 times in one post..but if people want to use it by all means, go ahead..I dont care THAT much.
Long live the unwoke.

SWIM looks, sounds, and is pretty silly. However, I guess if it makes someone feel safer/better, then whatever. Personally, I swim from time to time, and also extract and consume DMT. To each their own.

With you %100 on this one! Do yourself a favor and install the Vidalia bundle with your choice of Tor button (Firefox) or Switchy! (Chrome). And it wouldn't hurt to delete all history and temp files.

As with aliases, I would only use on unique to the Nexus.

Our friends over at Anonymous and LulzSec can testify to this.

Who knows, DMT might be the next DDoS to the FBI. And,

One can write without the usage of the acronym "SWIM," if one wants to have a "sense of security." All one has to do is avoid personalisation in his/her posts, as is the norm when writing academic essays. Smile
"'Most men will not swฮนm before they are able to.' Is not that witty? Naturally, they won't swฮนm! They are born for the solid earth, not for the water. And naturally they won't think. They are made for life, not for thought. Yes, and he who thinks, what's more, he who makes thought his business, he may go far in it, but he has bartered the solid earth for the water all the same, and one day he will drown."

meh. The posts relating illicit events still stem from a user account tied to a real-world individual. I would posit this isn't any more protective than SWIM.

As far as security; no one is coming for you based solely on a few posts on some esoteric website (they'll be locking people up for importing/buying MHRB before this happens, imo). If they're coming for you, they have other evidence and SWIM or disclaimers won't do anything to change it. I find disclaimers entertaining/amusing...SWIM is just annoying.

Can you explain this a bit more ? Was there a ruling of somesort that acronyms can't be as a deniability factor ? Etc.

Thanks !
Got GVG ? Mhm. Got DMT ?
