I just had a very fast and overwhelming DMT trip that brought me to this african/egyptian type world that stripped me from my relation to my body and had my in a strange dimension where I was being pointed at and talked to (very fastly) by these people. At the very peak of my trip my computer clicked very loudly (which kind of brought me out of my trance), flashed and restarted. I was very confused and eventually saw my computer's BIOS screen through this layer of an african village. I didn't think much of it, but I came back nearly crippled from the experience and very ready to call someone and share the experience. Twice during the conversation with my friend my phone called a random series of numbers and asterisks. I thought I was just hitting numbers with my face, but sure enough the screen lock was on. Even weirder, my phone shuddered on the call time when I was trying to end the separate calls. I don't think that DMT unlocked some secret power within or something mystical, but the shear amount of energy you feel on DMT makes me wonder about how your own personal energy can interact with other things such as electrical currents. I feel like whatever personal energy you have can be greatly amplified/released during psychedelic experiences and possibly to the extreme on DMT.
This is all just me wondering so don't take it to seriously, but if anyone else has similar experiences with electrical interference and DMT I would be interested to hear.

Yes, I think it is a common experience of people to notice glitches that don't seem to normally happen.... but on spice, a lot of things seem to glitch up, and we don't know if it's because of the spice, or if we're just making it interpreting it as a strange experience due to our altered state. People also report animals acting differently around them, and dogs barking at them while on spice.

It's probably just our altered state. I have noticed lots of things while on spice. Everything seems incredible on spice. Looking at a rock is amazing. So when something out of the ordinary happens, the mind tends to think.... wtf?

The very first time I broke through my friends dog would not leave me alone. It ran to my lap and scratched and barked at me and did the same to the door once I went out. Is there a possibility they can hear at the frequency the carrier wave is on? I mean, if we didn't understand how dog whistles worked they would definitely seem like magic.
Have there been any studies with DMT that involved an EMF?

I wonder if some type of spectrum analyzer would pick up any 'anomaly' in the vicinity of a subject under the influence of DMT; specifically, looking for the carrier wave. It'd be interesting to try.


I've heard accounts of this sort of phenomenon occurring with Sally D., too. It also has that n-dimensional transportation sort of quality.

I know the grateful dead claim to have seen visual disturbances in audio equipment whilst doing DMT in the studio but I have no references for this information.

I've had my cell phone start turning on and off, making weird noises whilst smoking, but honestly that's the only thing I can remember. I usually do DMT either outside or in the darkness so electronic anomalies rarely come into play.

Yea, I'm pretty sure it was...it's buried in the middle of a paragraph in one of his writings, iirc.

When I am smoking spice, I can hear my power strip being on, the one my pc and speakers and phone charger are connected to. When I flick it off, it's like, "Ahhhhhhh!" The sound is very disturbing and seems physically uncomfortable. I can also hear the same sound when near the other outlet in my room, but I can't turn that off. It makes me really wonder if 60 cycles are that damaging all the time, but we can't feel it.

I should mention that in a normal state, I am still very sensitive to 60 cycle hums, and can hear a rheostat (dimmer switch) or a solid state television with the sound off. I keep my monitoe at 75 hertz on purpose, wish I could do it with everything.

There is a lot we don't know about electricity vis a vis human neurology.

During one freakout last summer, my phone WOULDN'T work. It just stopped working.

When I finally got my phone to work (hours later), I phoned my girlfriend three times and she didn't answer. My calls showed up on her phone as the number of this guy she was avoiding. I saw them on her phone. Super weird.

I usually have a rule about NO electronics and DEFINITELY no telecommunications... this was the one time I broke that rule, and attempting to use any technology was incredibly weird.

I know some of you may have seen that thread about watching tv while under the influence of spice. I don't think that's a good idea, but I have had a muted television on before and had to turn it off because of the intensity of the television (not really anything else). People move in super fast forward on the television, but not the people around me. I'm not really sure if this would be an interference thing as much as a perception thing, but it's very weird.

In a recent trip, I just posted a trip report here(side note, can anyone explain how to post links to other threads?). As I was "forced" backwards into laying position my laptop stalled despite having the page fully loaded and good connection speeds to the interent.

Anyways, several other times which I can't exactly place me and my two good launch friends "kay" and "jay" we noted some electronics behaving funnily while tripping, especially radios, and music systems in general. Now these systems usually mess up a lot as is, and we wrote it off as mere coincidence, as I am still relatively convinced of. But I was just wondering if anyone else has had any experiences with this and if so maybe that'd be pretty neat?

We have shifty wiring in the living room and sometimes the lights don't work full strength or flicker. But in particular during dmt trips these lights decide to go out completely or flicker in a strange pattern.
