? How will I know it works without ruined product? I won't be double boiling so will that sort of heat damage it or....?

I've extracted n,n using this tek 4 times already. The first 2 times i failed due to the mhrb/lime/vinegar/water mix falling into the jar when i was performing my pulls. It should be noted that placing a coffee filter with a rubber band on the top of the jar makes everything convenient when pulling the natpha to the jar! Especially for first timers( like me :/ )

You should invest in an electric skillet. It works like a charm! Smile

I actually have one and its what I've used for all my 'science projects'. It truly does work well and as beat up as it is, it still screams, 'let me do your dirty work!'

I wanted to try a crockpot because it had more volume than the bowls I have worked with before. But I invested some new ones so its all good.

After some digging, i found that i also own a crockpot! Very happy If you end up using it, let me know how well it works! Smile

I'm confused with one step since the guide was rewritten. For the nonpolor wash it says:

'SWIM likes to think of using the non-polar solvent like using water to dissolve some salt. Though the salt wil not instantaneously become saturated with salt, it will in a few minutes. Same with the solvent, it is the bark and lime that works for hours, not the solvent.'

when working with this tek in the past, I always let the lime/bark sit for a few hours as it called for it in the tek I believe. The rewritten tek suggests that in the passage I quoted yet does not give a suggested time span. Also, it now states that the wash only takes 15~mins or so when previously it stated leave it for a few hours. I always left the easy for 3-5hrs.

Can Someone confirm these things? I'm looking at my basified mix right now.

Perhaps you can add, that when you put the calcium hydroxide to the vinegar mush, it gets realy hot.
I did my first extraction yesterday, and was irritated when the jar was getting hot hoping everything was fine.
I thing this could help other people.

1st post

SWIM is new to the dmt world and after his first experience, became very interested in the subject.
q21q21's tek was quickly chosen over the other teks available.

after going over your tek a handful of times SWIM feels confident, comfortable, and ready to perform an extraction as soon as his mimosa arrives!

i <3 q21q21's tek, so easy.
1. soak source in vinegar water.
2. mix lime.
3. naphtha pulls. (i evap usually 50% of each of my pulls during the pull.)
4. freezer
5. filter
6. all my spice is usually stuck on the mason jar so after i filter i just place my jar upside down on a 60 degree angle and let the rest of the naphtha evap
7. scrape pure snow
8. let completely dry
9. you know

and of course you can re-x

i think the biggest problems are having the right consistency for the pulls, not evaporating some of the final solvent before freezing(too much naphtha) and not having proper filtration of the naphtha before freezing(plant material).

its so easy idk how it could be made better, but i'm still thinking. Smile

for the jim jam tek iv been throwing the salting mixture of water vin and d-lam in the freezer then pour off the d-lam after the water and vin is frozen and the particles in the d-lam have settled

it still works for me and its easier than using a baster or gray separator

other than that i love the tek Smile its so fun and safe Smile

well as a tincture and evaporated in the spoon, it makes it darker than the above

it is literally everything the d-lam can pull because i freeze the vinegar below it and pour the d-lam off once it all settles out of the d-lam

then evaporate
i actually prefer the goo in the spoon its just weather or not i remember to pull the tray out of the oven when its a spoon full left of dmt fum

also can i continue to pull from a mix i made a week ago?

This has never happened to me. NaOH and water = exothermic reaction and heat.
Ca(OH)2 + water should not do that.
Q21Q21's Tek: A comprehensive guide to extracting DMT
The 2 teks use non-toxic lime and vinegar and Tek 1: d-Limonene or Xylene or Tek 2: Naptha to produce very quick high yields with the greatest of ease.

I am almost never on this site anymore so I will likely not answer PMs

Hmmmm thats strange.
I did my 2nd extraction yesterday and it was the same.
When i put the calciumhydroxide or löschkalk, how its called here, to the mush, it gets hot.
But my spice looks good i think.
Can you please take a look at my other thread were i have postet pictures from my first extraction to veryify this?

Edit: i have read in the internet and now i know whats the matter.
What i have is not Ca(oh)2 but caO and when you mix it with water it gets hot and you get caoh2.
Do you think my spice is ok when i use caO?

well the wiki says
"Quicklime produces heat energy by the formation of the hydrate, calcium hydroxide, by the following equation:[2]

CaO (s) + H2O (l) is in equilibrium with Ca(OH)2 (aq) (ΔHr = −63.7 kJ/mol of CaO) "

So only lime and heat are produced... seems fine. but don't quote me on that.
Interesting that you can use quicklime (and hydrate it) instead of hydrated lime. Is it cheaper or easier to get than hydrated/pickling lime?

As for the spice all I can say is that it looks exactly like mine does every time doing tek 2 with regular lime.
