So if you put the NaOH in the sink there are no splashes or heat reactions, just to know what I've to expect? Also I want to do all the stuff outside, is it harmful for the environment if splashes of NAOH or Acid hit the soil. I mean does it pollute the soil?

I cannot help but wonder why 1) and 3) are sepearate? You have large chunks of root bark? You did not powederize or shred it up into very fine pieces? Generally I take the basified root bark solution (powderized MHRB) and pour it right down the toilet. I flush first before I pour to minimize splashes. I flush several times afterwards to dilute the solution and push it further down the line. Folks routinely put lye solutions in their toilets and trains to clear them.
HMM actually I dind't tried it yet, but ok lets say it's powder with some fibre. In the DMT Handbook the barkpowder is filtered before the solution gets basified. So the poweder/fibres/barks seem to be still acified regarding to this manual?

Regarding the solvent - I hear nahptha can be distilled but I do not have access to such specialized equipment. Therefore, I simply evaporate. Eliminate all sources of flame, pilot light and spark in the area. Place the naptha in a Pyrex dish. Put in a window with a fan on it. Exit the room and place a towel under the door. It will all evaporate away in a few hours.
OK maybe I use it for lighter fuel or firelighter for barbecues. I haven't bought it yet but I think it's the most expensive chemical. Also I want to treat the environment with care.
Thx for the responses.
