I'm sure a lot of you are confortable with the d-limonen tek, this
happens to be one of the most spoken tek on the web.

like each extraction tek, they first basify their cacti powder.

but some uses calcium hydroxide (CAOH2) and some Sodium hydroxide (NAOH),
why? is this just because it his easier to get some in some country, or
their is a real advantage to using one.

in the end of the tek some also use white vinegar to get mescalin from
the d-limonene, other HCL diluted in water.

For 69ron's limonene tek, calcium hydroxide should be used. I believe that the low solubility of calcium hydroxide in water helps the basified cactus mixture stay dry. Additionally it was found that calcium hydroxide breaks down the mucilage in the cactus which other bases are not as effective at.

Either vinegar or HCl can be used for salting. The HCl salts are typically easier to clean to a free flowing white powder where vinegar usually yields a resin which requires MEK washes to get pure mescaline acetate powder.

this might be true for a dry tek, but other bases break down cacti very effectively when wet
