these are some of my cacti.all grown from seed and about 18months old.
the brigds (first pic) to the left have the normal genotype patern and have a tendency to twist by the base but the 2 fat mamas to the right have something else going... they were bought (seeds) from a reputable (kohres) cacti botanist. There is a possibility that the fat guys are something else that got mixed acitentally when they were shipped by seller or they might be a monster brigdesii genotype.they are fat and compact and it looks this guys are going to be BIG n FAT.the last picture are some torches sewed the same time and from the same seller.FAT guys dont look like torches either.
AA battery.

I've seen active fat blue peruvianus grow 8-9 ribs.
those plants on the right in the first picture look like peruvianoids

upon thought I belive youre right they are peruvianoids, hybrids might be.bridgesii/peruvianus.but they are not tall like torches or bridgesiis .btw today i finished repoting my collection.
I not sure if the rib count is important, because I have asked people who have lots of experience cultivating cactus and and they say it has nothing to do with potency.I have read also the contrary, shamans praising 7 rib cacti and the legendary 4 rib cactus (4 winds)...

this makes no sense, plenty of active species with variable rib count over 8....
