Dear, Nexus

There isn't much I can say to you that isn't already said here every day. Even the recognition of this place being so wonderful is widely spread throughout it's members. So I feel no need at all to tell you that your collective of minds has created an oasis among the dense misinformation of the internet that abides by fact, and open mindedness in absence of the ego.

The friendships I have made here, extending from the experiences and revelations that we share in our psychoactive journeys, to the real life traumas and hardships that we endure together have changed my life. It does not matter to me a single bit that most of us have never known each other outside of the forum and chat, I know you here for who you are, not what you look like.

The only thing I can give back is what has already been given to me. Inspiration for the strive to happiness.

Do you like Explosions in the Sky? Their track "The Only Moment We Were Alone" ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzj-ksNOMfU ) has a similar epic quality to it. Rachmaninoff also came to mind (his works have this same depth, just with greater virtuosity - which interestingly doesn't seem to matter too much).

Something in me wants to say, more variance, another part of me is fully content with it. I would not at all object to someone playing this on my piano while I was under the influence. I like the song about life more I think. But that shouldn't matter to much to the creator, just keep creating.

To be completely honest, I agree, Lavos. This music was recorded months ago, before I seriously began applying my studies to my personal work. Recently I've only been playing sheet music, and barely composing. As of a few days ago though, I have stopped practicing as much, and started improvising more, and I can already tell my music has made a huge step in the variance, depth, and overall structure required for a good piece of music; and I will be reviving this thread with original music more often, soon.

Thank you. This thread is rarely updated because of the pain staking task of learning written music, but I should be uploading some improvisations at some point.

Beautiful track. One thing I would point out was that for me, the piano came out of only the right speaker. I don't know if this was intentional, but even if it's in mono, I would mix it into both speakers.
