I would recommend Divine Moments of Truth by Shpongle
i not only say this because of its about DMT, but because its a great song to trip too
or silence, i've heard that the experience is better the quieter it is
but imma n00b lol that's just my opinion
dmt, dmt, doo dee doo dmt, lsd doo dmt, lsd doo dmt...divine moments now, divine moments of truth, total and utter cosmic stuff...'
'be here now... i love everybody'

Hey thought maybe we could share some of our favorite music we listen to on DMT and recommend new things and such.

This is an old standby.

Full title is "Brazilian Guitar Fuzz Bananas: Tropicalia Psychedelic Masterpieces 1967-1976" It's a various artists compilation of rare Brazilian tropical/psychedelic music from the 1960s and 70s. Beautiful stuff. Good world music compilations make for execlent tripping music in general. Check out "Psych-Funk 101 (1968-1975): A Global Psychedelic Funk Curriculum" as well.

And then this works well too.

Amen Dunes - DIA
It's super hazy psychedelic folk recorded in 2009, just one guy layering tracks. Gentle, weird, not obnoxious and self-absorbed in the way most folk music is, great for DMT.

Hey guys, I don't have any current access to DMT, but I've always been interested in the idea of listening to noise while on it.

The best and, arguably, only noise artist is Merzbow. I'll link an album:

Rainbow Electronics: http://www.mediafire.com/?mgn12omwnbm

Other good albums by Merzbow are Pulse Demon, 1930, Merzzow, Hybrid Noisebloom, and Music for Bondage Performance.

If anyone ever tries tripping to this, please let me know how it goes, I'd love to read that.

1930 album cover attached
Dedalus attached the following image(s):
1930.jpg (231kb) downloaded 173 time(s).
The above is for entertainment purposes only.

"A caged community of chimpanzees reacts very sensitively if a member of the tribe has received LSD. Even though no changes appear in this single animal, the whole cage gets in an uproar because the LSD chimpanzee no longer observes the laws of its finely coordinated hierarchic tribal order."

I can’t do spice exploration unless I have this tune on repeat all the way through.

Anyways, seriously I generally find myself listening to mid-90s ambient if I decide to journey to music. FSOL early releases, The Orb, Global Communications and the like. I think Future Sound Of London’s Lifeforms is one of the most mind-expanding albums I have ever owned, the EPs Lifeforms and Cascade from the same period are very good tools too.

Normally I work with ambient, but I have had some very interesting results from everything from disco (found that very surprising!) to tribal techno (tip – Psychick Warriors Ov Gaia) to miami bass.

I find El Ten Eleven to be great for exploration.

Yep... that Postman Pat theme is great for an introspective spiritual journey into the depths of the human psyche ;p

Also...

All the classics, all the classics!

Seriously though, I often listen to things like Hallucinogen in Dub, Younger Brother, Abakus etc. Had an enjoyable harmalas and DMT session with soulfood last night listening to a lot of Kuba, as well as Devin Townsend's mellow album Ghost

...pretty, huh? Smile

I think this era and genre would speak to me the most when I begin my hyperspatial journeys.

In the past, while exploring other substances, I've found the ambient dub compilation One A.D. to be quite amazing as well.

Nice fractal, I saw shpongletron in Boulder in May, and it was pure amazing. Im going again next week, at the Mishawaka ampitheatre! i cant wait for the show, Outdoors sounds like the way to see it!. It is a mindblowing set, he has really raised the bar!

Did you see Shpongle live or the Shpongletron?

Those other bands you mentioned are great as well. Noodreem is some great stuff thats along those lines, check out "acacia dub" on youtube.

Ozrics is truly amazing though if you have never heard that stuff. For me nothing comes close to the ozrics, and they have so many amazing cd's. Any one of them starting from 1990 is amazing timeless music. The perfect evolution of instrumental, electronic, and psychedelic music.

I also have a techno goa side and love

1200 micrograms
astral projection
hallucinogen

I like some bassnectar stuff too sometimes
