[b:cfae015382]Rules for When You Get Caught by the Law[/b:cfae015382] [list:cfae015382]Rule #1: Do not say ANYTHING without a lawyer. Rule #2: Do not agree to anything without a lawyer. Rule #3: GET A LAWYER!!! Rule #4: Try to get an old lawyer. (The older and more experienced and connected. I had a lawyer that was a judge for 25 years before he went back to being a lawyer because it pays better.) Rule #5: Be honest with your lawyer. Rule #6: Never speak in court without your lawyer present and even then only if your lawyer advises you to. (Keep in mind that lawyers argue for a living. They are word smiths. They are experts at twisting and bending the truth to say whatever they want it to say, all on a whim. Goodness forbid, a couple of them get bored and decide to play games. They can ruin your life, or save it.)[/list:u:cfae015382] TO BE CONTINUED... (I need to get to bed soon. 5am comes too soon.)

Was there an objective in bumping it, other than to scold a member who hasn't been around the forum for the last few years?

He did make a post recently, but I agree, what is the point of bringing up this thread with such a post, ray?
Ray, I feel that kind of tone is inappropriate, even if you really disagree with what someone does. Feel free to start discussions that you feel are constructive, to make criticism you feel is beneficial, but thats not how it seems there. Its not like you're inviting him to explain himself or trying to start a two-way conversation, its more like a one-way judgment that I can only see bringing up a defensive answer back and further degenerating the atmosphere.
Plus, I would have thought people in the Nexus would already be aware that no matter how much we dont like one or another drug, that the drug laws, prohibition and punishment don't diminish availability of drugs and wont make whoever is arrested a "better" person.

christian wrote:so enjoy it wilst u can No, in this forum there is no place to recommending enjoying meth, no matter if its long or short term relationship with it. You are an adult and you do whatever you want in your own life but please understand this does not belong to the Nexus. Pandora wrote:I don't judge you - I don't know you. Not enough data. Not enough desire.
Slow down, please. Pand, I think this part is what gives a wrong impression: Pandora wrote:Wow, what are you, like terribly inexperienced or young?
I know thats probably not how you meant but the question reads to me not like a neutral question, but more like a question that already has the answer (as in, you are either A or B, for sure.). I guess even if it was the case that he was A or B, there might be a way to improve how the question is asked so that it doesn't generate a defensive or confrontational answer but rather generates reflection. In any case I agree with the rest of what you said, thanks for the input

Okay, then: Christian, Right on! Be happy - do what you want. Enjoy yourself. Get laid with meth on your dick. You're a winner and on a winning path. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful - I judge you to be so smart and mature. You rock my world. Happy? Calm down. Why do get so bent out of shape over these things? Sounds like you are judging to me. Long live the unwoke.

Do you use drugs? ....Or do drugs use you?
There's a difference. A big one. And there are a few drugs, like opiates, cocaine, and meth which are well known to often quickly end up in situation #2. Well known, though? Their reputations are, but sometimes it's good to repeat the information (verified by MANY who have found themselves on path #2): There DO EXIST some drugs which have an AMAZING CAPACITY to ruin people's lives; and MANY (who know from personal experience) will tell you that meth is the worst of those.
Anyone using any of those more than, say, once or twice, should pause and ask themselves why they are beginning on a path that almost all before them have said they wish they had never gone down...

Well put. These things have a way of getting on top of you. All posts written by Madcap should be regarded as fiction.

I have travelled for over 10 years in Asia and South America. Part of my travel philosophy was to experience the countries i visited fully, and not shy away from making new experiences. This meant sampling the local food, customs, and yes-even the local pure drugs. It was never my ambition to travel soley to take drugs. I was not into such things at the time, and felt it to be more of a curiosity than anything else. I can assure you that having sampled pure cocaine,( and never feeling the NEED to keep redosing like a madman ), i can see meth for the dirty cheap thrill , and the same applies to cheap cut cocaine. Pure cocaine being FAR superior to the latter in feeling. Although very rare thesedays, and not something i would promote. Just part of my travel experiences. -Like i said, these were travel experiences, as part of a travel mindset. Back home where i live, these drugs are limited in availability, extremely expensive, and very poor quality. And i have never taken illegal drugs in my country. aLSO, i am in a keep fit, save money mindset. My heart goes out to those that are surrounded my cheap meth, because that is a different scenario. My scenario was travel based, and i knew the score, and therefore adjusted my behaviour accordingly. It was temporary, because i was moving on, and could not afford to be stuck in a drugs rut, etc. -This makes all the difference. Happy? Calm down. Why do get so bent out of shape over these things? Sounds like you are judging to me. I agree, Fractal. I don't like to disrespect Nexus posters, but Pandora has illustrated herself as being extremely judgemental, immature, and a negative poster. As i have previously stated to her, she does not know me yet definately has judged me in an excessively negative way. I cannot understand this. i AM VERY SURPRISED BY HER ATTITUDE. aLSO i do not understand why she said the following: "I don't judge you - I don't know you. Not enough data. Not enough desire." -I SAY..(THERE WAS NO NEED TO SAY THAT, to express such an attitude. Nothing but PLAIN OLD NASTINESS THERE. not THE KIND OF WORDS I EXPECT FROM A NEXUS POSTER, and certainly not designed to be anything other than horrible!!)
Changing the mood: -Alpha 1, i heard that some of the "faces of meth" photos were actually faces of crack addicts!-I could be wrong. -Regards,Christian. "Eat your vegetables and do as you're told, or you won't be going to the funfair!"

Pandora-read your signature.Youve posted on this forum again in a vituperative and condescending manner. I dont advocate suicide, but then again, youre tone stinks. Its not the first time either.... and unless your signature is just hot air, methinks your negative tone will manifest itself again and again. I am paranoid of my brain. It thinks all the time, even when I'm asleep. My thoughts assail me. Murderous lechers they are. Thought is the assassin of thought. Like a man stabbing himself with one hand while the other hand tries to stop the blade. Like an explosion that destroys the detonator. I am paranoid of my brain. It makes me unsettled and ill at ease. Makes me chase my tail, freezes my eyes and shuts me down. Watches me. Eats my head. It destroys me.

christian wrote:-Alpha 1, i heard that some of the "faces of meth" photos were actually faces of crack addicts!-I could be wrong. Maybe. What I know is, there's a pretty big meth problem in the community I'm part of (gay male in big city). I've been around it, I've done it, I've seen its impact on friends and family of friends. Thankfully, it was never really my thing and never harmed me. It once almost harmed my friend who, after clubbing in San Francisco all night on MDMA & LSD, knowingly took an HIV+ person home who administered methamphetamine intravenously. They proceeded to have unprotected sex for hours. By the grace of God, he did not contract the virus -- but he learned a valuable lesson how how dangerous this drug can be. Yes, Alpha 1, it seems to be a problem for quite a lot of people. I guess my previous stimulants experience gave me the help to see it for what it was. I am also lucky enough to have been able to not let myself get sucked into it's trap. I think one of the biggest problems with it is definately the loss of inhibitions, etc. Your friend was extremely lucky.
