Both STB, lazyman and Noman, call for the first step of adding lye to the MHRB and neutralizing it.

What about washing the bark before hand with naphtha or acetone, then basing it and extracting with naptha?

Would this help purity at all or is this just a waste of time?

The A/B calls for a NP wash of the acidified DMT solution, and according to the DEA microgram, the A/B is higher purity.

In some guy's opinion the steps you mention are unnecessary. Totally unnecessary. This guy never did a single defat in his life, freeze-precip and re-x were his weapons if pure clean spice was required.

I think you should just start playing around instead of reading every tek word by word. Then you'll appreciate which are the really important steps and which are totally redundant. And allow yourself to fuck up a few things, mistakes are really big teachers, maybe better teachers than any advice one can give you in any forumWink
