Documentary Night LSD
- Entrance fee: 4 euro - First film starts at 9.45 pm, please be on time! -
We are organizing another documentary night, on LSD! We will be showing two documentaries: Hofmann's Potion and LSD: Problem Child and Wonder Drug.
Both documentaries offer an interesting perspective on one of the most well-known (and yet often misunderstood) psychedelic substances. LSD is discarded by some as a demonic and life-threatening drug that should be fought no matter what. Others love the drug because of its mind-expanding properties and possible psycho-therapeutical uses.
Hofmann's Potion, the first documentary of the evening, is about the history of LSD and its discoverer, Dr. Albert Hofmann. Several scientists and pioneers are interviewed about their experiences with - and opinion on the drug.
LSD: Problem Child and Wonder Drug shows us the fascinating story of LSD as told by its discoverer Albert Hofmann, at that point in time 100 years old. This historical message by the father of LSD, with interviews and presentations by Rick Doblin, Alex Grey, Ralph Metzner, Carl Ruck and others, is a timeless relic and an immediate source of inspiration.
Both documentaries are in English, with English subtitles.

European Ayahuasca Research Symposium
presented by Stichting OPEN and MAPS
– in collaboration with Bia Labate Ph.D., MAPS Hungary and Cognito –
The European Ayahuasca Research Symposium is a multidisciplinary series of lectures that
focuses on current research being done in Europe. Experts from various disciplines will present
their studies on ayahuasca’s effects on health, neural functioning and consciousness.
Ayahuasca is a psychedelic brew made from plants native to the Amazon Basin. Ayahuasca’s
psychoactive effects are due, in pharmacological terms, to a mixture of beta-carbolines
(harmala alkaloids) and dimethyltryptamine (DMT). It is thought that, together with various
psychosocial and spiritual factors, these plants allow for the profound phenomenological
experiences that users report after drinking ayahuasca. This ‘tea’ has become increasingly used
for religious, therapeutic, shamanic and research purposes in Europe and other parts of the
world over the past few decades.
