Someone is attempting to do an caapi extraction. (https://www.dmt-nexus.me/forum/default.aspx?g=posts&t=17029)
It's a basic extraction that uses food grade lye and vinegar. Someone followed the extraction, but cannot get past the lye section, because the liquid remains black with no settlement. Does it matter how slow one adds the lye?

I've done about a dozen rue extractions and 1 with caapi, 2 with ammonia as the base and the rest with sodium carbonate and every time the solution was basified it immediately clouded and then a precipitate settled,

Was there clouding of the solution? That is what happens before the precipitation is every one of my extractions.

Oh, as far as I know it doesn't matter how slowly you add it.
Q21Q21's Tek: A comprehensive guide to extracting DMT
The 2 teks use non-toxic lime and vinegar and Tek 1: d-Limonene or Xylene or Tek 2: Naptha to produce very quick high yields with the greatest of ease.

I am almost never on this site anymore so I will likely not answer PMs

Yes there was clouding, but nothing after that. Don't know where went wrong.

I used powdered caapi, maybe there was not enough water.

Ok SWIM has gone over this tek https://www.dmt-nexus.me...aspx?g=posts&t=17029
Over 4 times and each time there was nothing. SWIM has used food grade lye and powdered caapi. SWIM boiled the caapi for 3 hours, and followed the tek. As soon as the lye is added the liquid becomes black like in the pictures, but there is never any percipitate. SWIM has also tried this without filtering as SWIM thought he may have filtered alkaloids out, but the result is always the same, no precipitate. What gives?
