So there does not seem to be much definitive info on this species, and possibly for good reason>?

last spring, as i mentioned in the grass tek thread, i tried a BLAB tek on a kilo of dried rhizomes, with nothing for the result.

has anyone had success with this plant at all?? maybe young shoots, or harvested in fall, or different tek?

thanks

..first hand reports to me: (both in E. Australia)

1 extraction low yeild (0.07%) from rhizomes; 18mg vaped - reasonably pure?+ mild sedative xtra? (subjective effects), seen as yellow oil. Only 1 attempt (due to low yield).
2nd extraction no alkaloids found, suspected misidentification of plant.
3rd attempt by colleague with careful ID approx 0.2%

Probably very seasonally and regionally variable

original findings of dmt etc. (from memory) India.

suggest different genotypes &/or seasonal.

Hi
A while back I did some work with this one, but unfortunately in the interim my life has gone pear shaped and my memory of it ain't so hot. I definately did a STB into xylene and then FASA on about 700g of rhizome, with not result and another extraction I can't really remember on the inflorescence; also nothing. There was one report on edot of some mild activity from a quid of the leaves.
I agree that seasonal influences may be key.
It is certainly not going to be as easy as some have made out it might be.
