Remember back in 2009 when the US Department of Justice sent a memo to the DEA to deprioritize enforcement of federal prohibition in cases where individuals are in compliance with state laws? It was a relief to medical cannabis patients and caregivers, that they would no longer have to be paranoid about federal intervention into their medicine and business.

Well now that's been thrown out the window. The DoJ has issued a new memo declaring that targeting medical cannabis clinics is to be the "top priority" for the DEA, regardless of whether those clinics are in compliance with local medical cannabis statutes. One step forward, two steps back Sad

Nevermind murderers and rapists and harmful criminals... damn those people battling illness for their lives and wanting a little peace of mind!!

I think if a vote happened once, though, a vote is possible, and it can therefore happen again...

You will never get what you vote for get used to it friend. Maybe one day people realize that voting does not mean free choice. It is only a choice between already chosen.

Support H. R. 1983! Call, email, mail and generally harass your local politicians and ask them to support and vote YES for this bill - H. R. 1983. Be relentless and call and email and mail letters often and get others to do the same. If we can pressure enough politicians to vote YES this bill will pass. Last time it was up for a vote a few years back it lost by a handful of votes. Public pressure has gotten even more intense and reluctant people are finally speaking out and asking their representatives to support the bill. Keep up the hope people, this one has a chance of passing. Very happy

Let us declare nature to be legitimate. All plants should be declared legal, and all animals for that matter. The notion of illegal plants and animals is obnoxious and ridiculous.

huh Sad

the dea and the government will be bankrupt eventually and the president's will be out of jobs in the coming years if this continues
and moreover gangs and criminals will be so rich that they might command their own private armies with the money they earn if this goes on for nother 20 years or so , it will be beyond impossible for government to control them , already the mexico scenario is getting difficult

inflation is going up
dollar left the gold standard a long time back
unemployment is rising and US is fighting a war with its own citizens , i think governments are meant to protect not harm its own citizens ,

bankcruptcy will eventually open the eyes of , dea , government and the president
i am going to wait till then nothing else seems to be knocking any sense into the government
illusions !, there are no illusions
there is only that which is the truth

The dea is facing budget cuts..... So they go to money pots that they've been allowing to accumulate cash during the relaxed period.

Things are as they were, as they have been and as they will be.

Underground economies as cash producers. Cash is hardly traceable.

We've been boned this whole time

It's time to systematically destroy the DEA, and all "drug enforcement agencies" the world over.
People have been protesting against the war on SOME drugs and the decline of personal freedom; They don't give a ferrets ass.
People are trying to get laws through, mellowing enforcement and protecting medicinal use & personal freedom; They simply reject it.

Have you folks seen Dexter's Lab? Remember the Episode where Dexter plays D&D with his friends and is the game-master?
Remember how he is a childish, sore looser and how he is a cheating game-master, putting himself in a position where he cannot lose as he makes the rules?
Well that's the position our secret, tyranical ruling elite has placed themselves in exactly. They who have interrests in keeping the war on (Some) drugs going).

We need to launch a full on economic assault on them, crippling them as much as possible. What funds these lumps of shit to terrorise society and take away our freedoms?
Could we somehow compromise/decrease their income? And what costs do agencies like the DEA have? And how can we make those costs skyrocket?
These fascist agencies need to perish. Here in Holland we have the same agencies and similair narrowminded anti-drug politicians. They're trying to slowly destroy the
Cannabis-market and the Coffeeshops and Smartshops. They've closed alot of Coffeeshops (all those within a 200 meter radius of schools).

2 or 3 years ago they used a series of half-censored an half-lied reports of people commiting suicide and aggressive acts on magic mushrooms. Seeking to demonise the mushroom.
The true stories behind the "mushroom-incidents" revealed that in all cases a cocktail of MANY drugs (MDMA, Speed, Alcohol, GHB + Mushrooms) were consumed. 1 of the reports told
of a guy that "ate mushrooms" and then killed his dog with hedge shairs. Later it turned up he had taken no mushrooms but was simply psychotic. However this was not
told in the newsreports and only later rectified in the news paper in very small articles. Too late, the damage was already done. The mushroom was banned.

If we hang around and watch them continue their wicked agenda, we can expect all freedoms to go away, more substances to become illegal(again) and
substance-use to be punished more and more severely. We cannot just let this happen.
