Hello fellow hyperspace travelers! I have been lurking on this site for about six months now, and created an account about two months ago, (right before the site went down) and just hadn't gotten around to doing an introduction essay. First I must say how impressed I am with the community here at the nexus! The helpfulness, kindness and positive energy the members here have is a rare and precious find! I post and lurk on other various forums and none of them seem to match the attitude of civility and kindness the posters here have towards each other. So for that I would like to thank all the forums members that have created this atmosphere and especially the mods for getting the site going again when it was taken down. All your hard work is very much appreciated!

Now to share a little about my friend who I created this account for.He is currently a college student working on a BS in physics, after getting his first degree in business and deciding that wasn't what he want to do with his life. He is still relatively inexperienced when it comes to psychedelics, especially compared to some of the other members here. He has used mushrooms about 10 times, and spice about 30 times, probably 5 of those times being heavy breakthroughs. He doesnt have internet access, so Im posting for him. He plans on doing his first extraction soon, using one of the Stb teks. I look forward to getting to know the members here better, and becoming more than just a lurker on this board.

Thanks for the welcome swimfriend! Physics is great, the classes are difficult but I'm really enjoying the challenge. Are you in the physics field?

..welcome, glad u not just lurking anymore..
while i'm not a physics expert, i would like to start a science/philosophy thread sometime discussing Stringtheory.

altered states have helped me grasp some of the philosophy & maths of the theory (& the 10 or 11 dimensional concept). entheogens seem a faster route than meditation for 'experiencing' concepts which are difficult to grasp completely rationally, but which are still logical or possible.
any thoughts from your 'specialist' student friend? have they gotten to discuss much about strings/dimensions yet?

Welcome to the Nexus! I'm fairly new here but I definitely share your appreciation of the attitude among the posters.
Looking forward to getting to know you and hearing how that knowledge of physics ties in with your psychedelic travels.

And yeah, I'd agree that entheogens are a much faster route then meditation, but to me meditation is far more gentle in easing you into the unknown, or experiencing the difficult concepts. That's why for me integration is the biggest part of the psychedelic experience, as sometimes it can feel a bit jarring.

No. Biology. But I like to see members who have a scientific perspective.
