...so far.

SWIM just noted the first DMT crystals forming in the chilled Naphtha from a STB - He used Whatchamacallit's tek. It is so darn exciting watching it start to precipitate.

As far as first impressions, the tek is very straight forward, and a bit of fun.

I will report back to this thread the yield in a couple days.

Thank you everyone here for making this a possibility. Without the information here I don't think SWIM would have ever attempted it.

SWIM just measured the product-- 2.7mg from 220g of bark or 1.2% of golden crystals. It's good-- not great, but SWIM made a silly mistake that probably accounts for it. After a freeze precip, it took a much longer time to evaporate the naphtha than SWIM hoped, so after some of the solvent had evaporated, he poured off 2/3 or the remaining liquid (about 2 oz) back into the storage container.

I have a feeling a fair amount of spice was poured off with the naphtha. If that's true, then no yield was lost; he just needs to run another freeze precipitation cycle. 2.7g is plenty for now, though, so the solvent will just be saved for future pulls.

The spice was going to be used as is, but since it will end up in changa, it makes sense to dissolve in a acetone, and put the separated product directly into the caapi leaf.

Blast off in one month (Labor Day Weekend).

Congrats!

I think 1.2% is great yield specially for a first time.

Im not sure if I understand what you mean with this 'poured off etc' story.. After you freeze you should pour off the solvent and reuse it for further extraction or evaporating it till the end and seeing if you get anything else from it (usually some oil that can be recrystallized by adding small amount of warm naphtha and then in the freezer for last bits of crystals).

Will this be your first time consuming dmt in any form?

Thank you for your comments endlessness, and the support for this first extraction.

To clarify, after freeze precipitation, the majority of the solvent was poured off. SWIM did not read the FAQ here on final drying, so he proceeded to evaporate the remaining couple ounces of remaining solvent. After discovering that the evaporation was going slowly (it's a humid summer), he poured off more of the (now warm) Naphtha into his storage container. He figures that some of the spice may have re-disolved and is presently sitting in his storage container.

The container is now back in the freezer, and SWIM will look for more crystal formation this evening.

Yes this is the first DMT for SWIM in any form, and he is pretty darn excited. I just posted a thread inquiring about an appropriate 'test dose.'
