Hey all, While I will get to why? I'll give a little background instead. I first tripped at the age of 15 on LSD. I was at a party and I remember specifically that it was Red Dragon, black dragon on red blotter. I took the half offered to me and was entirely skeptical of it's properties. It was so small. So ten minutes of no onset I got he other half and did that one as well. That was a big miscalculation on my part. But it was an amazing, mind bending experience. Some of my most treasured memories are the ones of tripping with friends and laughing and communicating. Flash forward to me now, Middle aged, same friends, and wanting to rediscover those things I felt I left behind. So now is Why? I'm here at the Nexus to do research. I'm curious and thorough by nature and this site seems to be one or the other or both. DMT was my main focus but I found an amazing tek for mescaline HCl that I really wanted to pursue. So here, I am the owl.

P.S. The above post and any posts from here on out are works of fiction that will be translated into latin, made into scrolls from a dot-matrix priner, and taken to the Dead Sea Facility for preservation.

Welcome to the nexus iamtheowl,

you should find all the desired information here and more. If you have any questions just ask. The chat is also helpful at times for more pressing questions, but of course a little patience is always necessary Smile

Have you been into psychedelics in between now and your first experiences? How long of a break did you have? Any recent experiences? What do you look for in psychedelic experiences - is it more a communal experience for you (with friends, communication, sharing the presence and space of others) or an introspective one? Or something else?

Hope you enjoy your stay here.
Cheers

Enoon

FiorSirtheoir, enoon and ragabr, I will try to answer your questions with as much detail as I can, personal safety being foremost. First enoon, I have been into psychedelics since I was 15 as posted above. Last time I had LSD was a double dip blotter I had in 1989. It was unpleasant because of the company I kept that night. (my roommate was increasingly judgemental, who I did it with, big mistake, the messed up thing was that we had unfettered access to the beach at night and he still managed to wreck it for me). So all these years later, I run into people I haven't seen in 25 years and they tell me they have DMT. I had heard of but never experienced so I took a couple hits at a party. I know, I know, wrong place, wrong time, but I was intrigued. So once I got back home I decided I was going to extract DMT and purify it way more than the hillbilly product I received.
But I got sidetracked on shrooms, which were successful to cultivate and dry and store so I started doing that as DMT kind of faded to he back burner. The shrooms were quite a hit and my dealer wanted me to grow and sell when I showed/gave him some but hat's not me so I turned him down. Personal use, that's it. But then I came across this tek from heavenlypursuit that looks absolutely do-able and I want to try. I heard that mescaline doesn't have the 'speediness' of lsd or shrooms but more of a gentle up and down. I hate the shakes and the knee jumping so I decided I'd turn my focus on that, plus, I've never done mescaline either. If HS Thompson did it then I will try too.

enoon, for more info, I always try to share these experiences with friends, otherwise it's just not nearly as fun. I had about a 15 year break with psychedelics I'm sorry to say. It seemed to dry up in the early to mid 90's which was a shame because the 90's totally sucked and needed a dose or two.

Now that is a motto, if ever there was one Razz

I am always ambivalent about doing it with other people. There are only very few people I feel right about sharing these experiences with and even so I often feel like I can do more personal work when alone. On the other hand one can do a lot of communication work and establish almost telepathy like forms of communication, real connections to others etc when doing it with other beings, so there are pros and cons to both. Of course there is the fun factor as well, but not every time I do psychedelics I'm looking for fun. There are plenty of other reasons.

What are yours?

Enoon, I may be sharing to much but here goes. I had a very difficult time growing up. Violence was the norm in my house. As such I tried to be away from there as much as possible. I was fortunate enough to develop a core group of friends though, people who were always there for me, in good times and bad, no questions asked. I bonded with these people clean and sober and what Helios Creed might term, Flying Through The Ether. I understand the need for solitude, but for me it was more of a healing that I experienced and I came to feel like I actually mattered and that someone did care about me. These people became my real family. I'm not sure where I would have ended up without them but I have a feeling it wouldn't be good. I hope that gives you a little insight into my motivations. I just feel that connection when I do Fly, whether I'm alone or with my friends.

kryolima and Orion, thanks so much for the welcomes! I am so looking forward to new discoveries and knowledge and this board seems like a great fit.

Welcome aboard Smile I think you will find after trying dmt that the the psychedelic experience has so much more to offer that just fun, fun is great too and I always enjoy some recreational acid but dmt and deep psychedelic work has the potential to change your life for the better on a spiritual level. thats putting it very mildly .
