First I would like to express some gratitude to the people who support this site and have created this community. This forum has provided information that will help SWIM extract spice safely, and will help SWIM travel deep pathways with a minimum of anxiety and fear.

I have had an interest in DMT since I first watched the movie ‘Altered States’ as a teen. My life has been a fantastic journey of exploration both within and without—I have deepened friendships and explored the wonder of this crazy world with marijuana, LSD, mushrooms, mda, and mdma. I would certainly say that my life has been bettered through these chemicals and the wonderful people I have shared them with. I have not felt ready to take on hyperspace until now.

I’m in my mid-40s, and though I am very happy with the way my life is going, I feel it’s time for a hard reset. I have been blessed with a great job, a nurturing home, creative community and I am able to share it all with an outrageously wonderful spouse. I have kept growing, keep having adventures, and try not to take anything for granted.

BUT…

My creative side has been wilting a bit over the past few years. I love to write, but find myself putting up barriers to it. I’ve attempted to recharge my efforts using everything from meditation to ‘The Artists Way.’ It isn’t quite a rut yet, but it’s starting to feel that way. I have the sensation of the different parts of my life coming into opposition to each other—something both unproductive and unnecessary. Spice offers a doorway that calls to me now.

The biggest challenge I face is that my closest friends are not feeling the same urges. They have moved away from hallucinogens, and have developed a fear of going deep (although, in all honesty, I was always dare-devil among us). It may not be the right time for them, and that’s fine; only, I long to share this already, and will certainly want to talk about any experiences I have with them.

That is why I am particularly thrilled to have found this community and its collective wisdom.

Several more weeks before SWIM will take the plunge. I look forward to bringing you all along.

Welcome to the Nexus! I am a new member too, and 'my friend' has recently gotten into the wonderful world of DMT, and been helped both directly and indirectly by the wonderful people of this site! If you want some advice, and are planning on smoking, his advice is CHANGA, it really is the way to go Razz

I know what you mean about wilting creativity. Having grown bored of the rave scene, staying up all weekend on MDMA and what ever else, I started to distance myself from the scene - where I was also a DJ and performed often. I love the music, but the mindless hedonism of it started to get on my nerves after a while - unfortunately the thing that has suffered is my DJing and production, both of which I love(d)... This is something that needs to be worked on, not only the creativity, but finding a new outlet.

Also, none of SWIMs friends were interested in the spice, how ever after hearing SWIM talking about the amazing experiences he had, a few of them have since been converted. It is a valuable tool for sure Very happy

Thank you for the welcome Purges.

As it happens, SWIM is planning on vaporizing changa-- caapi leaves. He is holding off on the 10x caapi for now, wanting to get some experience before going that route.

Fortunately, although my friends may hesitate to participate directly, they are supportive of SWIM and will be with him for is first exploration. SWIM may be able to inspire them as your aquaintance did.

I hope both of us are successful at re-tapping that well of inspiration and going with the flow.

You may find one of two things happen to your friends as the molecule proceeds to break you down and rebuild you: 1: your friends will see your accelerated evolution and will resent you for it, or, 2: they will see this change and be inspired by it. When others see you improve everything about your life, the darkness of their own lives is brought to the light. Not everyone is ready for such a change. In my case, my friends are inspired and I am going to baptize them in the healing waters of DMT.

What a beautiful way to say that, tetra.
"'Tis true, without falsehood, certain and most true.
That which is below is as that which is above, and that which is above is as that which is below, to accomplish the miracle of the One thing.
And as all things have arisen from one by the meditation of one: so all things have their birth from this one thing by adaptation.
The Sun is its father, the Moon its mother,
the wind hath carried it in its belly, the earth its nurse."

-Hermes Mercurius Trismegistus

All posts by the above author, HermeticShaman are fictional segments of a fictional fantasy book about fictional psychedelic journeys and travels to fantasy lands of wonder and imagination. Any resemblance to real events, intentions, conspiracy to commit illegal activities, or confessions of illegal activity are merely a convincing way to build up an epic plot line, and in no way represent the lifestyle or actions of the man behind the name.

Thank you for the insight, Tetra

I have found that my friends, spouse and I routinely grow apart and then back together again. Each of us has had a period where we have been left behind for a bit while others grow or change. Over the past 20 years, we have always come back to each other.

This may end up being one of those times of asymmetrical growth-- some of them may not be ready for the journey yet (or maybe ever). Whatever they decide to do, SWIM's DMT experience will likely enrich all of them if it enriches SWIM.

This also provides me the opportunity to make new friends...Smile
