It is true that such things happen all the time. "Hoaxers" do exist. There are people who fill a psychological need by doing such things. Most people DON'T have such needs, so they fail to understand that others do have them.

Yes. google it and you will get the same video on a number of sites. And news piece? Because there is an authoritative sounding english accented woman narrating it? There is no news station ID, no emblem in the bottom corner, no sign off from the "journalist". And, you saw it on YOUTUBE!!

If I lived in China, it would take me about 3 hours, 3 friend "witnesses", and a three minute upload to accomplish this, and it might even be worth it for a laugh! Knowing this, are you still prone to believing this is a veritable piece of journalism? If so, why?

You can go to Disneyland and see this same technology used there. Its been around a while..spray fine mists of water and you can project upon them holographic images. There are several amusement parks around the world wtih this exact type of entertainment.

Well that changes everything! Nowhere in the piece was it mentioned that it was a planned holographic event and I assumed the OP was assuming it was a supernatural event. My apologies if this was the case - however, I believe the technology you refer to is done in a controlled environment, and is much smaller. I am duly impressed if holographic projectors can project something of this scale onto distant wavering natural mist. Do you have any sources for this technology - I am genuinely intrigued!

Not sure what the OP was suggesting, just that he wanted it debunked. There is technology that can facilitate exactly what this event did. The one at disneyland is quite large I have heard, and gives one the impression of long distance three dimensionality...there is one in Tokyo where they project Dinosaurs.

The type of day and misty river was a clue as well.

Not sure what it is called, but I'm sure you can find what you are looking for on google, with some other youtube examples.

And yes, Project Blue Beam is a conspiracy topic where the shadow government (not NASA) is apparently going to fake either an alien invasion, or the second coming of Christ. With the quality of the projections seen in this chinese video, think of what non-public versions of this technology might be able to project...

I'm not ruling out the possibility someone just made this to fool people for whatever reason it just doesn't give me that impression.

If what you are suggesting is the case, why is this THE ONLY video (on numerous sites) about the event? And what about the cost and the infrastructure and planning and equipment involved to make an illusion of such a scale? What interest would anyone have projecting a city onto the mist surrounding another chinese city to fool a few passersby into thinking a skyline had materialized out of nothing? Much easier to make a video, no? I am genuinely intrigued if this is a projection, because it leads to a lot more interesting questions. This ONE video, however, appears only on youtube and a handful of conspiracy related sites...


And ray of light, you would not see this type of newscast on main stream media if it were not verifiable, regardless of your views about their motives. Other mainstream media outlets would just jump all over the story and make the publishing news source look foolish - it's just bad business to fabricate a story that can easily be disproved. That is the domain of the National Enquirer. While you may believe they lie and distribute propaganda, there are checks and balances to assure that certain modes of mistruth are not viable.

No idea why anyone would so something like this, but a test of technology could be one of them. Checking out what kind of conditions are right for it to look real, or a test to see if it can be done into natural formations of mist and clouds, rather than mist being sprayed.

I'm not speculating that this is a goverment program, just that technology of this sort has been around for a while and you can enjoy it yourself at a number of different amusement parks. My reference to Blue Beam, is that this techology could make that 'conspiracy' possible from a scientific/technical point of view.

I am not speculating on whether this was a real occurance or not, just stating the fact that the technology capable of producing this type of effect exists and has existed for a while. If someone wanted to do this for whatver reason, they could becasue it is technologically possible. You can see it for yourself if you go to Disneyland.
