I watched "Through The Wormhole" the other night and Shocked Shocked Shocked THIS SHOW IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!

It is hosted by Morgan Freeman, and plays on the Science Channel.

The episode I saw was about how science is starting to close in on the idea the consciousness exists as a quantum function that exists inside and outside of our physical bodies!!!!!! They even went as far as to propose (by no means prove) that consciousness is the only thing that exists!!!!! And that our consciousness moves through different planes of existence (for example when we die)!!!!!!

The strange thing is everything this show talked about I have seen through DMT visions. I wonder if we are in fact connecting to other planes of reality (just as real as our normal one) when we use DMT, instead of just some biochemical delusions.

If you haven't seen this show yet, I highly recommend it!!!

I'd like to hear your opinions on the show????

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

Consider this. Your eye has one function. It detects photons and sends signals to the visual cortex. A photon is a photon is a photon. There is no information contained within the photon that says "I just bounced off a rock, or I last touched a blade of grass". Why is this imporyant? Well the world that you see around you is created by your brain. When you dream that you bump into a physical object it is as real to your brain as when you bump into a 'real' object.

Your brain builds world maps based on neural transmitter concentrations and neural connections. When these chemicals are changed...for instance when you smoke dmt then your reality changes....

What is real?

Btw i do like the show. Its a good introduction for the masses of a very deep subject.

I liked the show as well, been into quantum physics and simulation theory for some time now it's good to see more people take an interest. Good point about Photons not containing information really makes you think..are we real?

I think photons do contain information, in the form of energy frequency. That determines what neurons are excited and what colours we see.
SWIM is Spartacus!

The things posted on DMT-Nexus by Shayku are generally false. They are for entertainment purposes only.

Of course they have energy and wavelength information, but that doesn't say anything about were it came from or how to create the world map. All though in some sense the angle with which the photon interacts with the photoreceptor will determine it's strength/energy.

Basically the photons hits your retina and the retinal pattern is what is sent along to your brain. So in some sense there is more information than just the photon...there is information about how the collective photon source is hitting the eye. Our brain being a giant pattern recognizer then creates a world map from this input. This is not a hard concept to understand until one frames it in term of visions or dreams.

So were does the light come from in dreams that allows our brain to create a world map? What about psychedelics? How is our brain able to create a visual map with no visual input? I think current theories are interesting but it still appears we are missing a larger piece of the puzzle.

As always I personally reserve the right to change my beliefs based on new information. Right now I'm stuck on the "It's not real" paradigm!

Peace

For being such intelligent scientists, I was expecting more. They're scientists, so of course they have it all figured out, in their own mind. It just all seemed like they were being too simple, or maybe they were trying to dumb it down too much. It was like they were being too specific, insisting this is it, but not connecting to the bigger picture. To me, it was like how religions like to talk about the same things but insist their "thing" is different. I believe all religious and scientific ideas have something to contribute to understanding reality, to a certain degree, because we'll probably never know the absolute truth.

I'm talking about the life after death episode. I've seen some of the other episodes, but this one didn't sit very well with me. It was all sounding like a bunch of BS to me, literally a waste of time, unlike the others I saw. It was too much speculation and very little evidence and testimony.

Yeah I watched a marathon the other day. I only saw three episodes though. I saw the is there life after death episode, Is time travel possible, and Does time really exist. It is a very interesting show although I like The History Channel's The Universe a lot more. My favorite episode of the universe is parallel universes. I watched it on acid before and it really opened my mind.

But I'm definitly looking forward to seeing more episodes of Through the worm hole. I hope it is put on Netflix.
