SWIM has acquired an acetone bottle from the hardware store.
He has performed an evaporation test to check if there is any smell or residue remaining.

SWIM plans to perform enhanced leave or Changa in the future.
So just to see how the process goes, he decided to soak some Damiana in acetone into a glass, and wait for the acetone evaporation. There is no goal except to see what’s happening.

After less than one day, the acetone evaporated completely. But I noticed a green resinous substance stuck on the side of the glass.

Is it a usual phenomenon, does it means that when you perform such process you can lost some active constituent?

I believe that's chlorophyll which is simply a byproduct of the evaporation. It's not like you're really "losing" anything. As far as I can tell, it just makes everything kinda sticky, but it's fine if some of it is on your plant.

Thanks for the answer.

For instance, if I want to perform an extraction as explained here (https://www.dmt-nexus.me/forum/default.aspx?g=posts&t=6739), I don't need to care about this green resinous substance stuck on the side of the glass.
